I was going to call it something money related because of the FFP thing but I figured some c*nt would put up Money's Too C*nt Too C*nt by Simply W@nk. So let's keep it generic.
Remember Stump? Probably not. They were mad. This is their most normal song but maybe their best. Singer died not all that long ago which is a real shame.
This weird punk, country, rap crossover thing. I'm not sure why I like it. I like the energy of it maybe.
Screaming Blue Messiahs. This lot must have been ACE to see live.

I went to uni with the drummer from this band. Monsters of the Psycho Billy scene..! Actually a really lovely guy! (you might need to click on the link to view)

I'm not sure, but I think you can only put up 3 tracks by the same band if one of the band members as died?
Noted and amended. But given the band is supposedly from a Swedish commune in a small town in the Arctic circle, and has existed for over a hundred years, when a witch doctor from Africa moved there, I'd assume many former members of the band have passed away. As for this line up, i don't know. They have successfully remained anonymous and members supposedly interchange with others in the commune now and again. So it's difficult to say of any have died.
However, I've erred on the side of caution, as you requested.

Cool rock 'n' roller you say?
Y'know I think every member of that band died young. Unfortunately, as 'underground icons', not in rock 'n' roll ways. Believe the poor buggers all got topped by some sorts of cancer?

Only Nigel Dixon (singer) and Gary Hassett (drums) died young, both cancer related. Chris Emo (bassist) disappeared off the face of the Earth for a number of years but went to see the (reformed) band down in Bournmouth a few years ago and got chatting to Mick Lewis (guitarist) and rejoined the band as bassist for the last 4-5 years. They were touring up until this year but Mick has now retired and the band finally split up for good. I knew Nigel and Mick really well, as Mick was my brother in law and Nigel really was THAT cool. I have fond memories of getting up early and heading for Shepherds Bush Market before it opened up on a rainy morning and taking some mean and moody photos for their second album. I also took a nice set from the orchestra pit at the Hammersmith Odeon when they supported Blondie. I still listen to rockabilly to this day when the mood catches me.
The grass is always greener.

Hard to believe that such a talented bloke(who was the actual guitarist on sh1t loads of the records we listen to), could ever be involved in something like this! Was a Rangers man, but had stopped attending by the time he released this.
Just listening to some Stump yesterday would you believe (not having seen this thread before today) - Buffalo and Charlton Heston -didn't realise the singer had died though. Some of my favourite tunes I'm listening to at the moment - no related theme

never heard of the band Kill Devil Hills but there's a song with that title by The Wedding Present. It's the name of a place in the USA apparently. Not sure I want to go there, it doesn't sound very welcoming.

great to see Stump at the top of the thread. Man, I loved that band. Used to have this clip from The Tube on VHS, watched it so many times. Mick Lynch what a frontman, brilliant hair, weird dance moves, inspired lyrics.
