First I've ever heard about this. I've spoken to a handful of mates and NO ONE recalls any bananas being thrown EVER at a QPR game. Either by ours or opposition fans. I've never heard anyone mention this in 36 years, either on the internet or in things like AKUTRs. The ONLY time I've heard racist actions by our fans was in the first leg of the 2003 play off at Oldham when some divs by the corner flag sang 'town full of muslims' and were drowned out by boos and hissing noises from our proper/decent fans.
And the only time I've heard our players racially abused was at Everton when Les got his second hat trick in 3 days as we went 5-1 up 23 years ago. |  | | |

ive only ever seen it twice at Rangers once was against west ham in 86 Leroy Rosenior was trying to get the ball back off a west ham fan in the ER but he stood there and did the monkey gesture to his face (some what ironic as he would go to west ham in a couple of years)
and I heard someone in the SAR call Impey "chimpey" , but this fella was a proper, proper cnt , he once threw a hissy fit when we were losing to Wolves |  |

I saw bananas thrown at John Barnes in the mid 80's when he played for Watford against us at Loftus Road, I never really understood what it meant until i was older. |  | | |
