Firstly - I owe Kakay an apology. I was harsh and said he looked clumsy. Tonight versus Rovers he showed again he has an exceptional first touch and loads of commitment in the tackle and poise on the ball. Yes he can look a little raw but he actually very rarely makes a mistake. Stood out in our team as a class above along with Bright.

Eze. Learnt some interesting info. Hoffenheim came in for him in the summer and there is generally a lot of interest from Germany. We told Hoffenheim they’d need to pay £7million. They offered £3 million. After which Eze signed a contract with us even though he knew he had plenty of options to move on. He’s happy in West London, got a girlfriend from the area and loves life at the club. Have to say he was laughing away in the stands with Shodipo tonight.

I’ll admit Eze has a way to go yet and hasn’t ripped it up and dominated this season (doubt he will if asked to play outside right or left); but come on. That’s about a quarter of a James Maddison; half a Ross McCormack and 70% of a Bobby Reid.
The transfer negotiations at our club continue to be naive in the extreme
I’m just relieved they didn’t stump up seven Venezuelain chickens and the lad is still here but I’ll be proper nervous in January
As for Kakay I like the look of him and he is everything that we are missing on the opposite site at left back. Pace, fitness, sharp and can use the ball.... a bit suspect in the air and positionally at times but that can be coached. We’ll sell him for two bob and a conker then. |  |

I may be in the minority but i think BOS has the potential to be just as good as Eze. I was there last night and the lad is absolutely electric. He had their poor RB on toast all game. But more importantly, when he gets the ball he can go down the line or cut back in, and it changes all the time. He has a lethal shot and he was only a yard wide on some of them last night. Eze is a great player too, but sometimes i think he doesn't release it early enough. We have some very talented lads in that squad and i think it is important to remember that in the down moments. I agree, but there's also the thought about protecting him. After a 7-1, do you ask him to forget it and go again? Or just let him sit out a couple, get an old head in, and slowly reintroduce him? I don't like the way SM has bombed out a lot of our youngsters, but I don't think resting OK a bit after the 7-1 was a terrible idea (and I'm actually glad he didn't play in the 3-0 reverse - he wouldn't have stopped it).
But what about old Wash, then? you know your luck's out when you think you've scored but your strike partner blocks your shot literally on the goalline. |  |

I think he's going to be a superstar, but he's scored 8 goals in his life at first team level and played less than 50 games. £7m would be a lovely price at this stage - providing a 20% sell-on was inserted.
If he gets 10 goals this season, then possibly you could up that, if you had more than one bidder. | |
