I have used them several times to buy and sell tickets,mostly successfully.I did get caught by them over an iron maiden ticket last year though as it involved the buyer meeting me at the O2 to go in with me with the credit card I bought them with.
I spent 2 weeks emailing them about where I should meet up,but they kept replying that I should send my tickets or they’d cancel the sale.
They never did send me any details and the ticket went unused.They finally emailed me 2 days later saying that the sale was cancelled and I was lucky that they weren’t going to charge me to replace his ticket.
It was my brother’s ticket who couldn’t make the gig and I was only selling it at face value before anyone thinks I was acting like a tout.
I won’t be using them again though because their customer services are absolute sh@te. |  | | |

That is another scam with them.If you buy through them they take your money straight but you have to wait up to 2 weeks after the event to get the money if you’re the seller.I’d like to have all that ticket money sloshing about in my account for up to a year earning interest for doing nothing.
And trying to contact them is a real joke.

This! On a numerous occassions my missus has asked me to buy gig tickets for her the moment they are released, I often sit there waiting for the timer to countdown to ensure I get tickets. No such luck. The tickets seem to have disappeared before theyre released (and these arent top 10 acts!). I remember calling ticketmaster to ask whether they had a fault in their system, only to discover that tickets for the same gig had appeared on ticketmasters very own touting website. The other gripe was that on this occasion the missus has been advised to buy the album as it was accompanied by a special code giving the purchasee access to priority tickets. B0ll0x | | | |

There were going to charge me £4 for each ticket sold,so I was giving away my daughters one and getting £6 for the pair.
To give them some credit though they did reply to my email and say that they wouldn’t charge me the £4 fee for selling the kids ticket. | | | |

I think there's a different system in place for football as they have separate arrangements with the clubs for resale. Crystal Palace have a different system to ours with Twickets as well. They don't charge sellers for any other events. | | | |

The only slight reason I'd consider using Viagogo, Stubhub, seatwave etc is if i failed to get tickets for something i was desperate to see and/or get premium seats for and it was completely sold out. I've never bought from them in the UK but have in the US a couple of times for baseball and basketball and the mark up was about the same again eg. $120 for $60 tickets. |  |

Yeah, they charge sellers and buyers the same £4 per ticket I think. It's too high, they should reduce it at least for lower priced tickets. |  |

I’ve just been conned again by viagogo.I sold my tickets for Level 42 this Friday in Ipswich,as my Mrs couldn’t go,but my tickets haven’t arrived after being lost in the post.This resulted in them cancelling my sale and charging me £40 to replace them.

Have used Viagogo a few times to sell tickets which were surplus at events like World Championship Athletics, Royal Ascot...events which I was going to and would probably sell out. Also have bought some tickets too. Never had any problem with buying or selling the tickets, with Viagogo or getting the money. The system always worked like clockwork including UPS pickup. Tickets have been sold as far afield as Japan. Fees reasonably up front and not excessive imho.
Understand that there are major problems with gigs and touts but from my point of view Viagogo provide a useful service bringing together buyer and seller and it would be a shame should the current pressures cause them to pack up or change fundamentally what they do. | | | |

It’s the total lack of communication that annoys me.They e-mail when they want something but are uncontactable when you need something from them.
I’ve emailed them and asked to change it to meet at the venue,which I’ve done it the past at various gigs and they just ignore it and don’t reply.
If my tickets go missing in the post is that my fault?Viagogo think it is and have charged me £40 for the tickets that I haven’t received.Plus the sale of the tickets has gone too and i’m Left with just over a day to get rid of two tickets I can’t use. | | | |

I never received them in the first place mate.They told me that they’d be sent out in the week before the concert and that I should only contact them if I hadn’t got them 3 days before the gig,which was a day later than the cut off time for viagogo.
I can’t really claim from the original ticket people because I chose to sell them on and missed the deadline.
I don’t suppose anyone wants to see level 42 at the Ipswich Regent on Friday night do they? | | | |

Well nobody makes you buy them. You have to really want to go to an event to buy via someone like Viagogo, and only then because you can't get tickets anywhere else. In which case the typical £5 a ticket fee and £5 a ticket delivery (excessive for 2+ tickets) is not a big deal. However if you leave it late or are interested in events where you are more likely to run into unreliable sellers then best forget it.
The way I see it, for a sports fan, its a valuable service nobody else does better. | | | |
