The gold standard in this season's Premiership? They make some of the other clubs' fans look pathetic in my humble opinion.
I'd love The Terriers to stay up at the expense of some "big club".

other than fulham, huddersfield is probably the team I'm rooting most to go down
its easy for fans to show up when their club is in the premier league playing the likes of city and arsenal. but for years when huddersfield was crap in the championship, their fans couldn't be bothered to attend any home matches
watch these highlights from qpr-huddersfield in august 2015- I was at that match (chery late winner), and the home support was absolutely pathetic
they actually sang "where were you when you were sh*t" to city fans last season, which is a bit ironic

Last week, before the Watford game, the Southern Terriors arranged for a Q&A with the CEO in the pub before the game.
Despite not having won a game this season at the time, there was not 1 question about the ability of the manager, or whether it was time for a change, or why isn’t so and so playing - every question and answer was about the club, behind the scenes, future planning etc etc
Last year, they did a Q&A with Sir Patrick Stewart that was superb
I still haven’t forgiven them for the “you are the weakest link, goodbye” banner though
And I did suggest that next time they get Matthew Rose in to talk them through his wonder strike at loftus road!
Anyone have a link to the goal?

Thanks for posting, a nice goal by the Rs there. It was rather - ahem - sparsely populated...

That was some almighty pi$$ up after the 'you are the weakest link' game though Fearless. At first locals wanted to kill us in the pub until they saw the company we were in. I think I was booked on the 6.30 train home but missed it by a mere......two hours. I remember getting home and pouring a bottle of water over the missus' head when she laughed at my reply to 'how did you get on??'.

They had a higher average attendance than us. And only 3,000 less than they have now.

Was that the game we won 3-2,in the p1ssing rain ? The game was played a day after Beckhams wonder strike against Greece
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

The nearest football team to them is Leeds which is 19.7 miles. How much competition do we have within this area.
I think it's actually Bradford as the crow flies. Leeds might be twenty miles away but Leeds United would have been the big draw in that area historically particularly for blokes in their 50s and 40s now and who probably would have passed on that allegiance to their kids who will now be in their 20s, possibly 30s.
Don't forget they also have to compete against Super League up there as well one of who's teams they share the stadium with. Although SL is played through the summer, the seasons do overlap by five months.

How did they know they was going to go up?
What was our average attendance the year we went up?
As someone else has said, pointless argument.
Eh they were in the top 6 all season and was the best they were doing for years so obviously attracted loads of glory fans which was the main point , you seemed to say they always averaged 20k when it clearly wasn't the case , unlike you to take a small sample to suit your agenda....
BTW our average was 15k when we got promoted

No agenda, just saying people in glass houses and poor attendances shouldn't throw stones.
Just scanned the last ten years and they have us beat in every single divisional comparison.
Wouldn't swap the ones that turn up for the world though.
Have a good evening.

Well that's no surprise. A team like Huddersfield will basically only have 'real' fans, or at least Huddersfield people. And of course, they'll appreciate it, without wishing to sound too condescending.
I always cheer for any team like that (like us) when they are in the humiliating premiership. I was only thinking last week, thank Heavens we're not in Cardiff's position, wondering where the next point could ever come from. Bloody awful, getting promoted. Might help balance the books, but it certainly doesn't do my mental state much good. I shudder at the thought of going through that misery again.

For every Cardiff there seems to be a few Watfords,Palaces and Bournemouths. We need to make sure we are one of the latter ones if we ever go up again.

I was at that game too, but I didn't remember the home crowd was so sparse! There are other teams in the Premiership I'd prefer to go down before the Terriers.

Mentioned this before but 14 of the 30 in my team at work are hammers as is the Mrs. So for that reason alone I hope they win 7-0 today. For the record always found their fans a friendly bunch when I've been up there.
