Anyone know what he is doing at present?

Is he injured, if not is he getting any game time?

If he is fit but not involved, seems like he is wasting he time at Portsmouth. Don't think he has featured for us so perhaps we should recall him and arrange a loan elsewhere. Maybe be leave the recall until after the cup match and permission to play should definitely be withheld. How long has he got left on his contract with us?

He has been an unused sub recently

Think Wheeler should be a spy in their camp.

Think we are too clean cut for those trucks

He can't get in the team ahead of Jamaal Lowe who is having an absolutely storming season with something like 10 goals in 25-odd games. By all accounts Wheeler is training well and doing nice bits in his cameos, but Lowe is un-droppable atm.

Ironically enough Lowe is unavailable for our game which would mean a rare start for Wheeler, but of course he's cup tied....

Thanks for the updates guys, seems a bit of a waste of time leaving him there but hopefully he is off our wage bill and maybe they can find him a more suitable loan where he will play.

On the other hand, he did play for them in the 3rd round I think so he'll be cup tied if he is back with us in May for the final...

I have it on good authority that Wheeler will be doing a double page spread in the Portsmouth programme on his 'Solution to Brexit'.

Been recalled.

Let’s hope he has spied enough.

Yes but he is cup-tied having appeared for Portsmouth twice in the FA Cup.

That's what you call proper football spying. Embed a player for three months in a club just in case you get them in the Cup. None of this skulking around the training ground with a bucket and a rusty pair of pliers.

He's got a day and a half to spill the beans!

Think Pompey will put out a fairly strong team for this one!

Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!

no doubt they will have a strong team, Jackett has a good record in the FA Cup and will want to beat us

Probably Joe Gallen will want to beat us too.

If, and that's a big if, big posh Matt should head off to Millwall and wee Paul heads off to Charlton on loan, then Wheeler would provide a bit of cover to the more obvious starters.

I'm not sure.

To me, he's still behind Hemed (when back), Bright and Oteh, the last 2 of which have barely played.

I think they have another loan lined up for him- otherwise we wouldn't recall him (as he's going to play even less at qpr than at pompey)

They may even have a transfer lined up. He's a bit too old to be one for the future isn't he? Not sure how much you'd hope to develop a 28 year old.

Said in his goodbye message to the Pompey fans that he needs to be playing regularly so presumably he is off ASAP

Hemed and Oteh are forwards so not rivals to Wheeler

Some Pompey wag has said on Twitter 'maybe QPR have recalled him because we cancelled some of QPR fans tickets' !!
