On one side we have a spineless and rudderless government full of self-serving narcissistic cnts utterly divided.

On the other side we have spineless and rudderless opposition full of self-serving narcissistic cnts utterly divided.

Can someone please show us a third way beyond flipping Vince. Failing a Chuka et al third way then Disco, you're the man no to save us from jezwecan, Diane, Sneery Emily and McDonnell no?

I reckon article 50 will get revoked in the next couple of weeks leaving a country in complete disarray, I predict a year of riots, protests and years of hung parliaments.
We have allowed remain MP’s to have a far bigger say and we are getting what the majority of mp’s want not the majority of their constituents.

Revoking article 50 is the least chaotic option. A few lager louts using it as an excuse to play up a bit seems a small price to pay.

Parliamentary sovereignty bro. Maybe you could appeal to a higher court like the ECHR.

I’m a Remainer and can totally see the catastrophe revoking article 50 would do.

Not in terms of rioting which would be minimal but in terms of electoral apathy amongst the working class.

It would deliver politics to the middle classes and those fcking #FBPE cnts until a potential right wing anti immigration party comes in on their white horse.

The only reason Ireland voted yes for Lisbon the second time is because of voter apathy. Look at the turnout figures for both!

The EU is a shithouse that we would be better off in but not by much.

Watford, like me you are a long term poster on here, but on this particular thread each time you post you are coming across more and more pompous, a certain section of remain voters actually think they are “better and more educated” than a leaver and you are certainly coming across like that.

The only real way to sort this is to Leave now and in 5/10 years have a referendum to rejoin the EU or whatever it has developed into or Common market 2.0

I have seen many times comments from remainders, let's just forget the whole thing and go back to normal, it's that NORMAL that set this all off, anyone that thinks that will just happen is completely deluded, it's not just some disagreement over hard or soft boiled eggs.

I’ve no doubt lots of Leavers are better informed and better educated than I am but I’m not seeing that from the posts on here. I’m just bored, three years on, of the same old Leave cliches. If I come across the wrong way, I’ll take that risk. If people who go on and on about left-wing snowflakes take offence, I’d probably have been more careful in my choice of language in 2016 but now I’m out of patience.

It deeply worries me that they will. Politics will never be the same in this country ever again that`s for sure.

As I've said before, our MPs are such a gormless, self-serving and unreliably dishonest bunch ( with a small amount of noble exceptions ), I look forward to being governed by Euro politicians.
On a tangent, my morning rag thinks the Queen may break with tradition and refuse to ratify any dangerous outcome proposed by our parliamemt.

Liberal ignorance and indifference of the working class is the Number 1 reason people voted leave for me.

It left a void that UKIP filled.

I don’t blame liberal indifference as I didn’t see it as a vote against any liberals. Far more a protest vote against the not particularly liberal establishment IMO which was misguided but brilliantly done by the Leave campaign to present the likes of Boris as the anti-establishment hope.

The working (and lower middle) classes have been pissed on for decades and somehow the EU rather than the Tories copped the blame. This was a chance for people to stick their fingers up to both. Again just my opinion but people have shot themselves in the feet by doing so.

For the record, I absolutely sympathise with anyone who feels hard done by in life and anyone who has genuine concerns about Europe. I just can’t stand baby boomers going on about the war in reference to Brexit.

I agree with you Watford. There are a lot of people who have been convinced that leaving the EU will lead to a Nirvana where they feel suddenly important again in their own lives and on the world stage. Whereas in fact we will all be at the mercy of the countries we will desperately trying to get trade deals with; instead of being a senior member of a powerful trading block, we will be a sideline whose industries will increasingly be poached by our neighbours. Meanwhile at a personal level, with Labour in disarray, the Tories will be able to increasingly ignore the lower classes and the lower middle classes, with no safeguards provided by EU working directives, to prioritise their friends in business and private wealth funds.

I'm not going to be affected by this as I'm self employed, but I don't want to see it happen to others, including my children.

As for the narrative that Remainers try to use additional education to try to manipulate the argument and put down leavers, where do you think the main Leave architects were educated: Gove (private school), Johnson ( Eton, public school), Rees Mogg (Eton, public school), Farage (Dulwich College, private school)? They are not protecting the interests of the working classes. They are only interested in their own concerns. And they know they will be able to move their business interests to EU locations so will be unaffected by downturns in the UK economy (e.g. Rees Mogg moving his fund to Ireland). And Farage's children have German passports so will be unaffected by end of free movement.

It is not the EU that have ignored the working classes but successive UK governments, who've allowed pension funds to be plundered, zero hours contracts to proliferate and nationalised industries to be sold off to overseas companies, while cutting benefits to the bone.
