On one side we have a spineless and rudderless government full of self-serving narcissistic cnts utterly divided.

On the other side we have spineless and rudderless opposition full of self-serving narcissistic cnts utterly divided.

Can someone please show us a third way beyond flipping Vince. Failing a Chuka et al third way then Disco, you're the man no to save us from jezwecan, Diane, Sneery Emily and McDonnell no?

You wouldn't catch Tommy Yaxley whotsit Robinson say anything like that.

we just sent 29 MEPs to Brussels whose sole raison d'etre is to dismantle the EU. shit happens.

I think Corbyn would offer the SNP a referendum on independence to join him in government. He's not likely to win enough seats without them

Interesting point. Doubt Corbyn would offer an independence referendum within 5 years of being elected. Or are you suggesting should the referendum go their way members of an independent country should sit in our parliament.

I don't know. However saying you won't renegotiate when the party on the other side of the table says OK can I kiss your backside is easy.

so you're saying that as Boris is more brexity than Davis or Raab or May the EU will open up the finalised WA just to give more concessions over the backstop. The only reason May got two extensions was that she promised to get her deal through. Boris won't promise that as he's already said he'll go for no deal.

Personally I'm not sure he'll go back to Brussels at all.

I think he'll offer them a referendum. The mechanics of who, when, why and how they can worry about later. The Scots probably wont want to jump of a cliff the day after either. To do these things properly takes time. After the brexit debacle I wouldn't be surprised if they suggest two referendums : one to decide to leave or not and the other to ratify what leaving actually means when the facts all come out. Surely no one could be this stupid again.

I'm talking about the logistics of a Labour/SNP coalition which does matter. Independence should it occur would have to take place at a GE either after the 5 year fixed term or if otherwise the government losing their majority.

"The Scots probably wont want to jump of a cliff the day after either. To do these things properly takes time. "

Morally do you think the SNP could remain in parliament after a referendum win regardless of the actual date of independence.

UKIP got 24 seats last time and then failed to win a single seat in the GE. UKIP2.0 got a few more seats in EU elections this time but beyond Farage they are unelectable. Have you seen the utter clowns they have sent to Brussels? Without Farage they are all Nutalls, Boltons, Widdecombes and other odd job racists, dingbats and loons.
No one trusts them on important matters like health, education, transport, etc. Did you see the bloke who lost in Peterborough talk about education?

You actually think the Tories are deliberately NOT going to stand in some seats at a GE?

Boris at the moment is bumbling along saying he'll renegotiate the WA. He cant put that in his manifesto once the EU have already said no. The latest polls are meaningless.

I didnt say the Torys wouldnt stand . In marginal Labour seats that was heavy Leave but voters would never vote Tory Brexit could put up a pro leave alternative ane either split the Labour vote or win outright . Maybe 20 or 30 target seats . It would mean the Brexit party wouldnt need 600 odd candidates .

odd candidates is right. Dunno if they would be taken as a serious party if they only target 20 seats. Didn't Farage say they would stand everywhere:

"The Brexit party leader said he had no trust in Boris Johnson or any of the other Tory hopefuls to deliver Brexit, as he pledged to field 650 candidates to stand for Westminster office."

Anyway, I still think the Tories will be more worried about their centre right followers switching to LibDems in traditional Tory seats than losing ERG type nutters to UKIP2.0 in Labour heartlands.

I'm clearly not explaining myself. At the last election they were not propping up a government the discussion now raised by you is what would happen if they went into a coalition with Labour

I suppose they would have to terminate the current parliament at the point of or before independence. Timing it to a GE makes sense. Certainly negotiations would be tricky which is why a ratification referendum of the agreed treaty makes sense (as much as that can).

If we lave the EU then independence I think would be a forgone conclusion. If we end up remaining then maybe the vote will go the same as last time.

Not sure why him not being PM yet makes a difference to what YOU think the EU will do IF he becomes PM. He's already declared that he will try to renegotiate a new deal. My question was do you think the EU will. His current state is immaterial to your opinion on that.

If we leave with no deal the EU have repeatedly said we will have to sort out exactly the same things that have stopped us leaving already. NI border, etc. Are we suggesting that we should never do a deal with the EU?

Isnt it sad that nobody talks about the supposed Brexit benefits any more. Aside from no longer contributing to EU budget, I cant see any benefits. It's now just "will of the people", when all surveys for the last 18 months show the opposite.

it will be interesting to see what both main parties put. Labour can't win outright with no Scotland and Corbyn anyway. Coalition is their only hope.

16m voted remain, only 2.3 million were in London. Labour won't win without opting for remain or at least promising a referendum anyway.

Jewish people vote for all parties - www.jpr.org.uk/documents/The%20political%20leanings%20of%20British%20Jews.pdf and are about .5% of the electorate.
