I play in a band here and some of them have never been to London, so I was thinking it might be fun to do couple of gigs in some pubs in London over a weekend - preferably a weekend when we play at home to couple the two things together. A promoter may put you on if you bring a minimum of say 10 people.
Pubs may do the same. My mate did his first UK gig here recently with not too much trouble.

Friends in bands have found the Betsey Trotwood in Clerkenwell a good venue open to booking bands. I'm going to see a mate play there in March. When I was a manager (probably the most thankless job I've ever done) it was really a matter of ringing the venue, speaking to their booker and sending in some music. Still doable I think. Or better still going to see them, if that's possible. |  |

Had a great night here last Sept.
Started off with an American Eco-folk singer lady on to a bit of stoner and a Maiden-like band, then some classical electric guitar.
Very good ale too and a spacious beer garden/smoking area
