Our Best & Worst January Window Were? 16:26 - Jan 30 with 1491 views | Toast_R | Taken from BBC today "Brought in on loan in January 2012 to help QPR in their fight against relegation, Samba Diakite was sent off after 33 minutes of his debut for two bookable offences. By March, just 123 minutes into his Premier League career, Diakite had conceded 12 fouls and picked up another booking but Rangers' eventual survival at the end of the season persuaded them to sign him permanently. By October he had moved on to six yellows and two reds in his first 12 appearances and he ended 2012-13 winless in 14 games. Those are some rough numbers, however you want to look at it." 2013 was probably worse because we spent big and still went down. January 2007 probably the best bit of business, Adam Boulder and Danny cullip really turned around what looked a hopeless situation. [Post edited 30 Jan 2019 16:29]

I am looking forward to him joining the forever Rs club if he is ever allowed out of wherever he is detained.

Pretty much. I felt that the ref was trying his hardest not to send him off but eventually had no choice.

It was that West Ham game wasn't it? Playing appalling and losing 2-0, Hughless sends on Taarabt and Diakite. Taarabt scores a worldy to bring us right back in it and then Diakite does what he did against Fulham and kills any hope. From that moment on, he was doomed.

Can't remember which player/manager said no-ne went near him in training because he always had the "career theatening challenge" in his locker? [Post edited 1 Feb 2019 12:08]

Yeah. That performance gave so much hope - that when it all clicked we had an unbelievable player on our hands. Such a pity that he never got back to that - seemed like a combination of pressure, anxiety, depression - trying much too hard and then brooding when it fcuked up but who knows? All of those Premier League transfer windows are cringeworthy to look back on. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He is currently being detained in Ligue 2, by Red Star (yes, that is a team, not a security firm). One appearance so far this season... RFA
| "Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1." |
