I know a few on here (Clive, Mr Sheen) like Rugby League and it’s back!

I watched London Broncos in their play offs last season and decided to get a season ticket. Most games are Thursday evening or Sunday afternoon. Cost us £130 and junior £20 which I thought was reasonable for a few days out in Ealing.

Hoping London can stay up but it’s going to be tough.

I've got a season ticket there too. Great sport, tremendous athletes, incredible value, but the Broncos are the worst run club in the history of professional sport!

It's not much of a stadium but it's nice to be so close to the action, with a beer in your hand and (later in the year) the sun on your back.

Definitely going to be a tough season, as you say, but I'm looking forward to it.

Still trying to recover from last night.
Looking forward to coming down in March.

It’s amazing value and only 1 and a half buses from me in Richmond. When Wakefield are 1/3 on with the bookies it makes me quite aware that it’s not looking great. Kieron Dixon (great surname!!) is a match winner on his own.

Slight admission here, I actually grew up supporting Wigan..... what a team they were in the 90’s/00’s!! I now know one of their ex players our sons play together but now my allegiances lay with London! 😳

Clive - I forget which ‘Ull you are but assuming not KR?? What a see saw game and tough way to lose. Need to shake that hangover ASAP

I've never attended a RL match, but I was consdering watching my Wakefield team there on Sunday.

However, a week confined to the house has put paid to that!

It is hard to see London finishing anywhere but last this season, but hopefully they will compete in their games. (This is based on RL fans comments rather than my knowledge!)

Mind you, it would be typical Wakefield to start the season with an inglorious defeat!

To the experts on this site. Is the return home of Brough likely to improve Trinity this season? I would expect another mid table finish with, once again, being top of the conceeded penalties table!

Used to love Rugby League as a kid - especially that Wigan team with Iro, Farrell, Tuigamala, Edwards, Robinson, Offiah et al. Watching Iro plant some unfortunate bugger face first into the ground was always fun.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Never had any interest in Rugby League, but very fond recollections from my pre teen youth of waiting in front of the tv for the football results, there being a game on with Eddie Warings’s enthusiastic commentary blaring away. Wonderful times.

Oh yeah, just remembered my mate Terry Langdon, played RL for a team in (called)Ealing back in the day. They still around? If you knew him, Terry played Union and League, seconds and thirds for the Wasps, then some outfit in Australia, now a HGV driver operating out of North Carolina.

I’m a complete basket case as I hate Rugby Union, the 6 nations and everything to do with it, but will always sit and watch a Rugby league game if it’s on.

favourite cheese mature Cheddar. FFS there is no such thing as the EPL

I’ve only ever been to one rugby league match.

And that was the World Cup final at Wembley in 1995. England v Australia.

At least I think it was 1995. 🙄🙄

I quite fancy Wakefield this season. Their recruitment has been bang on for three seasons now.

Only been to two games here in England, both in Leeds. Once as a guest of the Rhinos and in '13 as they had a game on the night before our match at Elland Rd. I find the games here more engrossing as many of the grounds you are so much closer to the action. in Oz, one is a good distance from the field of play except for a few grounds. The old Sydney Football Stadium and the Olympic Park were/are the worst The atmosphere can be quite non-existent as well. I was, and probably still am, a North Sydney Bears fan, but they basically only exist in a 2nd division comp that no one even knows about. Got to see a number of games at Canberra, North Sydney Oval and a few other venues in Sydney. It's a different sport and one that makes it worth watching. Some day I may make my way to see the Broncos.

Considering the game on the 23rd rather than traipsing to Boro. Enjoy watching it on the box but never seen it live.

Their website is awful but mentions The Hive. Are the home games there or Ealing or a mix of the two?

Haven’t been at the Hive for about three years! Ealing only. In Ireland this weekend so missed the game. Curses! I’ll be at the Cas game.

Is Jordan Abdull at London now Clive? Loan or permanent? He always looked a talented lad, if not the fittest!

Permanent move. Fell out with Hull, questionable attitude/diet.

Where about in Ealing do they play?

Confused of Uxbridge. London Broncos is a really stinky name.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Where in Ealing are they playing? I see Barba has already been sacked by Nth Queensland after playing in England last year.

Well I never did...

Ealing Rugby Club in West Ealing/Pitshanger, just off Argyle Road. I think the club used to be located at the bottom of Horsenden Hill, where North Greenford Utd play.

Loads of buses go up from Ealing Broadway, or walk up 10 minutes from West Ealing. Big bar at the ground, otherwise the Kent at Scotch Common or the Drayton Arms at West Ealing.

Drayton Arms is a great pub. Drank in there and walked up when I've been.

Is that The Drayton Court? If so, it has the biggest beer garden in London.
