I went to this match yesterday - have never been to the Bernabau before and did not think it was as good as the Nou Camp but that is only my opinion. The atmosphere within the ground and during the match was a bit flat. The attendance yesterday was just over 78,000 but an awful lot of those were people like me who just wanted to see Real Madrid playing a home match.
Have to say all the security men and women who we came across in entering and leaving the ground were brilliant, very good respectful, good humour and very, very helpful.
The match itself was not a classic and I have to say Real were totally rubbish. I am not a big fan of Spanish football to tippy tappy for my liking and every time a tackle went in the dramatics came out rolling on the floor in agony only two second later being perfectly ok. Ramos - to be fair was was slightly unlucky to be sent off but he had an awful match along with most of the other players. There was no desire whatsoever and as for Gareth 'the Golfer' Bale - well he was possibly the worst of a bad bunch. There are problems there at that club for all to see but Girona played well especially in the second half and deserved their win.
Was it worth over 100 Euro's on that showing no!!! | | | |
