Not watched this for a while but I remember it being like a Mike Leigh film film with a female Alan Partridge presentIng. One of the best football documentaries I've ever seen.

Just incredible. Like a missive from another planet, yet I was alive when they made this. The hairstyles, the clothes, the family in the red and white house. The girl who wished she could be a boy so she could be a footballer. Sleepy eyed Alan Hudson admitting he takes pills to sleep and is nearly always injured. A teenage Garth Crooks. The great Gordon Banks. The old boy who'd been going since 1913. Poignant, tragicomic, a lost world. Thanks for posting.
