When he left Bristol he had 6 months left on his contract and was not going to sign a new one due to broken promises. He was also being played out of position at WB. It is highly unlikely Bristol had any add ons and were glad to get a fee for him.

I don't have a problem with selling to rebuild. But why is it that QPR seem to "gift" players away. £4.5M is a joke.

Anybody thinking we're going to even get the £8m for Freeman which would cover the lack of further parachute payments for next season is very hopefuly, not saying this wil happen but this kind of deal is probably as good as we'll get.

Bit like Smithies before him, he's not going to command the fees some of us often think, I am also still not convinces he's merely a very good championship player but lets see what happens if he goes next season.

We won't, but much depends on who wants him. If two or three clubs want him, the price will go up. If it's just one, as with Smithies, and we have to sell (which we do), it'll go down. I would hope for someone who gets as many assists as consistently as he does, we would get minimum £5m.

Yep I agree - for a team that has been bumbling around the bottom half of the Championship for 3 years, some of the values mentioned on here are ridiculous.

It wasn’t a thread it was a comment - and it was after the Leeds game - and you were ‘shut down’ when I dared to point out Pritchard went to Huddersfield for £10 million.

I don’t think it’s totally unreasonable to try and get at least £7mill for Freeman in today’s market
