I hate modern football part 472 20:24 - Apr 25 with 1698 viewssmegma

I'm sat in a bar in my local non league ground and the game live on Sky appears to be Man City vs Liverpool youth teams ????

The worlds gone mad.

The Premiership should be reduced to two teams and then all games could be Man City vs Liverpool games.

Au contraire.

Id consider going back to Sky if I could watch Brighouse beat Barnstoneworth United 8-1 every other night (or once every two evenings or even on alternate afternoons).

Not a lot of people know this but the centre forward for Brighouse wore glasses when they beat Barnstoneworth United 8-1.

“October 7th, 1931. 2-0 against Pudsey.“

“Haggerty F, Ferris, Noble, Codren, Crapper, Davis, Sullivan, O’Grady, Kembell, Hacker and Davitt*. Davitt scored twice, once in 21st minute, once in 28th minute…”

”Davitt, he were hell of a player.” says the scrap merchant. ” He were bald weren’t he? Head like stainless steel.”

“That’s right. He once scored with the back of his head from 28 yards against Barnsley reserves in 1922.”

To be honest I would rather watch the youth teams play than some of the dross served up in the premier league on tv.

Or maybe just play them in the 1st team?

*Edit

Or if you don't want them release them to play in somebody elses 1st team?

BBC described this years Premiership as exciting.

2 teams miles ahead of anyone else.
3rd - 6th are well ahead of the other 14.
Huddersfield and Fulham relegated weeks ago, with Cardiff set to join them soon.

I don't call that exciting. Unless you support Liverpool or Man City. For the neutral it is far too predictable.

I saw Harrow Borough narrowly beat Staines Town on Monday. Borough declared at 9-1 when in reality it should have been more.
An environmental disaster was declared when Staines Town manager Barry Silkman arrived at Earlsmead with a huge oil slick trailing behind him.

TBF I’ve just watched Chelsea vs Barca under19s on BT and that was one of the best games of football I’ve seen this season , hate to say it but they have some very good youngsters

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore
