He was also a tennis coach at Barn Elms for a number of years. He taught me for a bit after I told him I supported Rangers.

I played my school football at Barn Elms and sometimes he refereed our matches if he wasn't coaching tennis. He once gave me a right rollicking for chatting to my goalkeeper instead of getting up the pitch. I swear it was mistaken identity!
