Not a party political thing or a reason for an LFW punch-up, but I keep having the eerie feeling that eventually every single Tory MP will put themselves forward leaving Teresa May with the casting vote. At which point, she cackles maniacally and slowly points at Jacob Rees Mogg sitting at the back, with the entire parliamentary party turning to stare at him... He is seen to gulp and mutter 'Oh, copulate my happenstance'

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Although i think this better suited for the other thread. Could i ask you why you feel the Brexit party is being rumbled ?

There’s not much to rumble until they bother to create some policies.

Easy to vote for in a non-local election you don’t even believe should be happening. Harder to vote for one of them to actually represent you and local issues in our parliament.

Of the 10 nominated I hope Rory Stewart wins, he comes across quite well and I like his plan for national service for 16 year olds with them doing 2 weeks with a community project and 2 weeks work experience, it would help give kids a bit of a purpose. Plus he;s the only one not promising a mythical new deal on Brexit and just says it's this deal or no brexit which is what will end up happening as no deal will never get through parliament,

Rory Stewart has no chance , he wont make the final two . It will be Johnson and Raab or Johnson and Gove .

They are carrying a big stick . Once they are happy that the deal is the best we can get they will do an election pact with the Torys to not stand

a new queens speech will have to be accepted and can have amendments tabled against it. if they do nothing labour + all others + a couple of anti no deal tories will table a vote of no confidence. Followed by general election.

doing nothing will not be an option.

Its better than the wrong deal that we would have to live with for decades . It doesnt mean that we would stop talking but it does mean we would be taken seriously . We should have prepared for it all along and published loudly and publicly our progress . To answer your question , not a good thing but the ball is in the EU court . They know the sticking points .

well we'll see. IMO parliament wont let no deal happen by accident. all the same issues are still there (NI border, etc) even if we crash out so what's the point? EU will still want their money. EU will still want to protect their single market.

What money ? Nothing is agreed til everything is agreed .We agree to abide by legal arbitration and pay what we legally owe with a promise to keep talking with the balance on the table as a gesture of goodwill on our part .

would you like some unicorns with that?

The UK has agreed a withdrawal agreement.

Th EU will not renegotiate that agreement.

Having a new PM will not affect either of those two facts.

If we crash out of 730+ international treaties, agreements, trade arrangements and laws all in one day we will need to go to the EU asap to do some sort of deal.

The EU will point at the previously agreed withdrawal agreement and laugh, all the same issues are still there only now we'll be desperate.

Parliament knows this.

A50 requires us to leave with or without an agreement BEFORE a new treaty is signed. EU can not negotiate a new 'deal' until we are a 3rd country. Hence the 'future framework' gobbledygook.

'nothing is agreed until everything is a greed' just doesn't exist. we have to leave first.

Genuine question : Do you think a new PM will get to renegotiate a new WA?

I think we have to be prepared for no deal and walk them to the edge . They have form for last minute compromise .We have to allow them to save face.
Bottom line No they wont re open it but they will find a way of legally moving towards us ...IMO

This is the same delusional nonsense that various hard brexit loons have been spouting for months.

EU is holding all the cards, no matter what idiotic wartime fighting spirit cliches are being dredged up.
