29 goals in 415 appearances. Almost as good as Conor Washington.

Never knowingly right.

Both today's signings come with question marks.
Wallace is 32 in August, has had some significant injury breaks and hasnt played a lot recently. But he is free and fills a position where wa are desperately short.
Kelly seems like a decent signing but it's the effect on the other keepers, of which we have an excessive number.

Don't worry about Lee's fitness as for injury he was fit for most of the season the only reason was politics behind the scenes at ibrox because he won an appeal against a fine he received along with Kenny Millar for a dressing room bust up after a loss to Celtic.
Lee has kept quiet about the incident and has helped lots of youth players with advice and guidance.
While frozen out he never complained and when asked to play did so.
Treated disgracefully last season by the powers that be at IBROX ask any Rangers fan we would love to see him back playing for us.

The child in me really wants us to sign a left midfielder or right back called Dave Grommet now.

Good luck Lee, I like what I read about your character; by Christ we’ll need it

Think we have made a good move, need some experience amongst a potentially youthful back 4 next season. Whilst Bidwell was a good servant to the club I think Wallace is a better option in the short term.

I'm not sure how youthful our back four is. Leistner, Hall, Furlong, Wallace, Angel (?),Kakay and Hamalainen,(assuming they're not loaned out.) Only the latter two and Furlong can be called young, and Furlong has had enough first-team to be far from a rookie.

I hear the phrase 'jobs for the boys', but i always think every manager might know a few decent gems they've already worked with, Derry and Hill a case in point. With one's Job and reputation on the line, you're only going to bring in players you know can help. It seems less of a gamble than a player the manager does't know on a personal level.

It seems to me a very obvious and reasonable strategy, to straight away bring in one or two trusted veterans you know they are good enough and dirt cheap. Just because we have a 'director of football' and scouting pathways yada yada yada, it still seems a logical move all around.

I'm just disappointed one of them is a goalkeeper. Although, maybe he's brilliant. And again, hard to be too judgmental either way without knowing the minutiae* of the contracts.

* A great and under-utilised word. May i be so bold as to suggest some of you take note and try to use it more often in conversation. Remember, the more long words a person uses, the longer they tend to live.

100%.

Sounds like we’re lucky to have him. Looks like a fantastic signing.

There should be youth and inexperience all over the pitch next season. This sort of signing looks exactly what we need if we’re serious about developing young players.

Many times we have said that we don’t have players with the right attitude, well Wallace is certainly a player who has showed he is not just in it for the money. When being frozen out at Ibrox he spent time coaching youngsters. I have not read a bad word about him from Rangers supporters and that goes a long way with me. To play international football, he must have a decent level of skill. So it is a big thumbs up from me.

I know nothing about Wallace but I do like what I read about him. He will be one of the first on the team sheet provides he doesn’t hit injury issues. Maybe our new captain as well.....but it may be difficult to take that position from the German but he could well do.

I like it. Defence couldn't get their act together with someone yelling at them in a German accent, so we are going to try a Scottish accent.

That’s the spirit we need. I remember many saying exactly the same in 2010 when we got Derry and Hill

I like this. I appreciate giving the manager just what he wants is a valid concern. But we need a left back, it's free, outgoing fans seems to love him, he adds an older voice to the dressing room that's lacking them, and his deal only takes him to 33, giving us 2 years to prime a successor.

There are plenty of negatives, but tbh with where we are, they're basically par for the course. Look forward to seeing him out there for us
