Non QPR: Joe Walsh 23:01 - Jun 23 with 2123 viewsA40Bosh

I am amazed that firstly he is still alive and secondly that the man can still play lead guitar live like he does.
Glad I made an effort to actually get to see The Eagles when offered a ticket.
Son of Frey held his own too.

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

Last time I saw Joe Walsh live was at the Strat Pack thingy at Wembley some 15 odd Years ago, thought then as I still do he was great and a bit 'nutty'
He made a right cock up on stage by starting to do Rocky Mountain Way and forgetting that he was in the totally wrong tuning, no problem to him he just stopped, laughed and explained to the audience and put things right and then let rip.
I was watching an interview with him a while ago about his life which was fascinating, he's right up there with the best.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

He said tonight
“If I knew when I wrote this next song that I would be playing for the rest of my life
I would have written another one instead”

I am always amazed at how guitar players speed and dexterity doesn't seem to diminish with age or previous self destruction.

Have seen several from different genres over the last few years, Albert Lee still probably plays more notes than any other, Ralph McTell, Wiz Jones, Clapton, Andy Fairweather Low, Mick Taylor, Carlos Santana, Chris Spedding all well over sixty, some 70-75 and all still playing as well as ever.

I didn't see him live and don't know how well he was playing but the late Glen Campbell still managed to play on his last tour, even though he was in a fairly advanced stage of dementia.
