I gave up buying designer sun glasses as I was forever losing or breaking them. My last pair I dropped in Sharm el sheikh and one of the lenses smashed. Having paid for them to be fixed I followed that up less than a year later down the Reeperbahnn by having them nicked from my pocket along with my Sony Camera. Hence forth I buy counterfeit ones - a good few pairs from the flea market in Istanbul, they look pukka and cost about £3.00 each.

Not a good idea. Counterfeit sunglasses offer no protection for the eyes!

The good news, if they said ‘Raybands’ on the packaging, then you’ve not lost a pair of authentic sun eyewear. Of course, if you didn’t know that at the time of purchase and shelled out large, then you were rolled.
