Seeing the squad announced, I think he can consider himself unlucky not to be in. Callum O’Dowda (yes, me neither) who came on against us on Tuesday and may start against us today made it in midfield for the Irish squad.

I like Ryan, I hope we stick with him if not a left-back then in midfield. If we do, his time will come for RoI.

I think he can be good enough without doubt, but he hasn't started nearly enough games to be considered unlucky not to be in an International squad, and I doubt that he feels like that to be fair.

I fear that once Lee Wallace demonstrates his match fitness - then Warbs will put him straight in. Although Ryan is showing us all what he can do at full back - I would prefer him in midfield. He is a strong player - tackler and good passer of the ball (and can tuck away a penalty). A great engine - so play him in front of the back four, and let him take the ball on. A better option than Amos I believe.
