That's a shock, he was only a few years older than me, it makes you think of your own mortality when something like that is announced. Blimey, I remember him being inducted at a game close to the end of last season and he appeared to be in fine fettle then. Do we know if he was suffering from any particular condition?

He seemed lively at the Forever R’s induction. Still one of my favourite goals where he ran about 50 yards from left wing to virtually right and smashed it in from 25 yards, Blackpool at LR I think, but a night game as I recall.
Bit unsung but a big help as the 70’s side developed.
