Why isn’t anyone talking about the England team. 4-0 is a decent result no matter who the opposition is. 14 goals scored and only one conceded in 3 qualifying games so far. Exciting, young, talented team. two semifinals in the last two international competitions. This is priceless.

The BBC says that England haven’t lost a qualifying game in World Cup or European cup qualifiers in a decade. That doesn’t sound completely right coz I thought we lost to Belgium recently, but if the Beeb say it i guess it must be true. Ten bloody years! That’s crazy!!

Poll: Who is the Best QPR Chairman in the last 25 Years?

We've never played Belgium in a qualifier.

Our last loss in a qualifier was in October 2009 in Dnepropetrovsk in Ukraine, the biggest sh*thole Ive ever visited in over 30 years of watching England abroad.

I watched a bit..

Hate itv coverage and today was Clive tildsley and Glenn Hoddle..

Henderson had a shot that practically hit the corner flag via row z and they were saying ... that if it was on target it probably would have been in.

Can’t really see us not winning the group.

Problem is, we nearly always seem to win our qualifying group; whether it be World Cup or Euros but never look anywhere near as convincing when the Tournament proper begins.
And that's mostly been the case since the 1970's.
Do we peak too soon, are we flat track bullies or is it something in our make up that we are unable to get over the finishing line in the way the bloody Germans seem able to do - even when they often don't appear to be the best team in the finals.

Hard to get excited watching another procession of Mickey Mouse teams getting a good hiding. So many sides qualify these days International football is a bit of a joke until the actual Finals.

Flat track bullies is correct: we rarely lose to the lesser or average teams but can't win a couple in a row against the bigger ones.

That just seems a weird stat that we've never played Belgium in a qualifier especially when you consider the amount of times certain countries (Poland, Turkey, probably one or two others) have cropped up.

There have been periods in the past when Belgium weren't that good especially or highly ranked (1990s and early 2000s) and you thought we may have drawn them once but no.

We've only played Belgium 9 times in the last 55 years. The last time we played Belgium in Belgium was 1970 although the last time England played in Belgium was at Euro 2000 a.k.a the plastic chair throwing championships.

I think England could get a surprise against Kososvo. Compared to the useful qualification fodder they seem useful and up for it. And if I hear Tyldseley, Hoddle, Neville G, or Neville P use the phrase plucky Kosovo I’m gonna throw my tele through the by-now well-slammed-shut transfer window.

England are going well although would have liked to see Maddison get a game yesterday, these qualifiers are hard work as teams just sit back against us so we don't learn a lot but without playing that well we comfortably won 4-0.

Although many don't like ITV's coverage at least the game was on free to air rather than the very good Nations League which hardly anyone got to watch, the day will come when all england games are behind pay tv so enjoy them whilst you can

I only saw about an hour yesterday due to taking dog number one to the vets
Usually I’d ensure I can watch England but she’s my priority

What I did see was an England team in complete control but STILL subject to lapses in concentration at the back.
Ross Barkley was anonymous

I was left thinking “I reckon Luke Freeman will make this squad”

Onwards

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Never. I was raised a welly thrower and, by gum, I will die a welly thrower.

Why wasn't Sterling's goal even mentioned as being possibly offside. I thought that he was in front of Kane and the last defender and Kane's "cross" went forward - surely that is offside?

Oh what times are these when I need to ask my wife what she thinks about offside - the game's gone, I tells ya!

Can we go out yet?

I went along yesterday with my mate & our two sons.

It was a great day out; cheap tickets, dads & lads, basking in the sun, the Harry Maguire chant. And just actually watching a live game of football. Seems like an eternity since I last did that. All topped and tailed with beers.

The only bad point was sitting about 6 rows in front of that bloody band.

I've been to England twice now and hated both times. Not having a dig, I'm sure you had a good day out and it was footy and drinks, but I just don't get it. Awful atmosphere, I don't feel like celebrating a 2nd/3rd/4th goal Vs Bulgaria, and impossible to get in and out on transport. I'd much prefer going to a local game, cheap beer, exciting matches and local pubs. Just my opinion though

Poll: Who would you most like to see at QPR?

I'm pleased they're taking some games back out on the road again. Wembley can be a bit sht for games like that yesterday, happy clappers on a day out like it's a trip to the zoo mixed in with the worst kind of 'no surrender to the IRA' knuckle draggers fresh from an afternoon drinking their weight in Stella in the Globe at Baker Street. Smaller, fuller grounds round the country, chance for people who don't usually get to see England for whom it will be a big deal to go to the game, should make for better, more passionate atmosphere.

As for the lack of reaction to the game - I think we've just been fortunate enough to be drawn in such a dreadful group that we've basically qualified before it started so it's a bit of a shrug. We won 4-0 yesterday despite not really being that good for the first 45.

So you cruise through the group and then get to play teams who have also finished in the top 2 of their groups. What a surprise when those games turn out to be more challenging.

Never really understood the expression flat track bully. It's obvious that any team or indeed any person playing any sport is going to win more against weaker opposition and probably look better doing so.

These days, apart from the occasional rogue side having gone through a recent bad patch aka Holland, it’s virtually impossible for a seeded side to find themselves in a challenging group.

We’ve had a succession of sh it groups for about the last ten years.

I have always understood the expression to mean someone or some team who dominate (so called) inferior opposition but who can't beat top level opponents.
In cricketing terms it was (first?) used to describe the batsman Graham Hick who scored over 40,000 runs in County Games including over 130 tons and with an average of 52 - in comparison to his England career with 6 centuries and an average of only 31.
Still Jason Roy would probably kill for an average of 31 right now.

Maybe it wasn't mentioned as it wasn't offside?? Believe me, the VAR mob would have been all over It like a rash. I was sat by the corner flag level with it and have no idea where you get offside from??

Looking forward to Tuesday actually, it will be good to see us up against a decent team, hopefully we can raise our game and cut out the defensive frailties

Didn't go yesterday but watched at home , ITV not great but I did enjoy the chat with Hoddle on the 1979 Bulgaria game which was postponed due to fog and then played the next night as it was one of my early England games
