When working her way through a box of chocolates my old nan used to press her thumb onto each chocy to find the softer ones as the hard ones got stuck under the plate of her false teeth.

Sadly she didnt like some of the soft ones and left them in the box all prolapsed like.

She did knit me a blue & white scarf and bobble hat though for my 10th birthday

We always knew which slices of bread were Granny's when we went for tea. They were the one's that had twice as much butter on!

She sadly passed away in January 1990, a month before her 100th birthday. That day would have been record takings for whchever venue was holding the celebration. For her last few years the only birthday & christmas present that she wanted was Apricot Brandy, but that was from everybody!

The head of the family & I still miss her.
