How long is his contract, will we be able to get a fee if they want to keep him?

Thought he definitely had talent the few times I’ve seen him play. Tidy player and composed on the ball. Perhaps playing in the rough and tumble of the Scottish Prem will improve the other areas of his game.

Hope so, think if he wasn’t in LA when Steve MC got sacked, he would have got a runout and probably would have excelled like Manning has?

That's very encouraging.

Wasn't Niko a Bardsley recruit originally?

Sounds like a craft beer, but google says "To call something shoogly is to describe an object that is shaky or unsteady. Though household furniture that has seen better days is frequently labelled as such, shoogly can easily describe the state of old bicycles, rickety footbridges, or, more loosely, a city centre stag do.

The term derives from a Middle English term, shoggle, which has much the same meaning. ...Meanwhile, someone on a shoogly peg is on the brink of getting a telling off of some kind, whether from an employer, parent or partner. "

Just talking to a mate and suggested we bring him back south in January, either to a championship club, now he is providing his ability or a top league one club?

Here's what the article says about him:

"I would be surprised if any Killie fan had heard of Niko Hamalainen before his arrival, but the whole of Scottish football certainly knows his name now.

The QPR left-back spent last season on loan at Los Angeles FC in the States, and so has played at a top level.

Unlike his new goalkeeper, he needed little time to adjust to the Scottish game, turning in a man of the match performance on his debut against Aberdeen.

He has kicked on since then and has been a standout every week, solid in defence and a real threat going forward."

I guess technically that's "a top level" in the same way that dairylea is technically a cheese.

Heh!

He had limited starts too. However LAFC are, by some distance, the best team in MLS this year and, apparently, their coaching is second to none so something may have rubbed off on him.

Watched him In the pre season friendly in Austria and he definitely bulked up a lot to when I last saw him against Sunderland in the league cup
If anything the Scottish league will be blood and guts and that’s only a good thing for his progression I think he could comeback next year and give manning a run for his money

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Hah, no offence intended. I might even attend a game or two next year when the Chicago Fire move back downtown from the middle of nowhere.

Amused me that they were very specific about saying he'd played at A top level, rather than at THE top level.
