Wallace 09:21 - Oct 29 with 2452 views | Hastings_Hoops | Surely Wallace could slot into the left side of a back 3. Must be time to try this out and go 5-3-2 in order to let manning (and Kane) push up without being exposed.
Wallace on 09:58 - Oct 29 with 2373 views | CroydonCaptJack | I am quite keen to see this bloke play. I see he was actually on the bench last night.
Wallace on 10:04 - Oct 29 with 2352 views | THEBUSH | I think it's time to play Wallace, anything to sort out our defensive problems. I'm not saying he's gonna be the solution to our letting in too many goals, but we have to try something new.
Wallace on 10:18 - Oct 29 with 2308 views | CamberleyR | I like Manning at left back/left wing back (I suggested he could be converted to play there ages ago) and think he could become a really good player for that role but if MW is going to persist with his favoured 4-2-3-1 then I would move Manning to be one of the "2" playing slightly further forward in the Faurlin role how Warnock had us set up with either Cameron/Ball playing the Derry position. Wallace could then slot into left back.

Sound thinking although I feel it may be time to look at Masterson who is a CB, young, athletic and has pace. That is a crucial problem across the back line and at CB. Lack of pace.

It’s all relative. Assuming he has legs he’s faster than the other options.
Wallace on 13:54 - Oct 29 with 1951 views | qprd | the issue yesterday was the midfield playing a 3-5-2 doesnt really address the issue unless the middle centreback slides into midfield (similarly to how hall was deployed under ollie) or the fullbacks tuck in (not going to happen in this system) | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Masterson was excellent today for the u23s in a 3-0 win at Millwall. Played centre back alongside Joe Gubbins, best all round u23 performance this season. Goals by Bettache, Walker (pen) and Shodipo against an ill tempered rabble.

Thanks for the report, my man. Did Masterson show any turn of pace?

Charley Kendall appears to the forgotten man at the moment, not even on the bench... or is he injured again?

It does though doesn’t it?... three at the back (3rd one covering the high push / full back when out of position), three in the middle, one on each wing and two up front. It would appear to be a silver bullet for all of our current problems and play to our attacking strengths.
Wallace on 20:48 - Oct 29 with 1436 views | karl | My tuppence worth on Wallace is that I can't see him solving the defensive frailties as Warburton had him pushed high when in Glasgow but if Manning was to be more effective than Scowen I'd trust Wallace to add an extra attacking threat, albeit not as creative as Manning but good engine going up and down the line. Balance is the thing of course and for me if this team is to be much tighter defensively then the fullbacks need to play, when without the ball squarer to the CBs. I do think the team is too slow to get back into a defensive shape when possession is lost. However, our ability to break quickly and effectively when we win back possession is probably because there is less structure to where the players are and the opposition can't react so effectively either. Goals, goals, goals, hopefully they don't dry up for us.

Not sure Manning is as good in Midfield as he is at Left Back to be honest... If he continues as he started, can see us cashing in to give Wallace game time and bring Niko back, who seems to be doing well in the Sunday League...

Sunday league Davman! Tut tut, Ejaria is the new Taarabt after a couple of good games and he struggled badly in that league.... Haven't seen much of Haamelienan yet but he gets good reports and my Killie season ticket mate speaks well of him, he replaced the lad who went to Celtic for decent money and made his Scotland debut recently (I know Davman, no need...) so he has filled in for a highly rated predecessor, will possibly be ideal preparation for coming back and being first pick?
