That was a fun day.
After the game the car that the five of us were in (three blokes, two women) got set upon by a big group of Tykes. My mate got a smack when he got out to have a go, I got out to help and all I remember is crawling back in after getting a clump from behind.
Someone nicked the car keys while they were beating the shit out of the car and the girls were having hysterics. Eventually the keys were literally chucked back at us and when the police did eventually turned up, they searched the boot for a weapon as the lovable Tykes said we threatened them.
Went to the police station, they took statements. They did f uck all. Left about three hours later in a car that looked like it was about to be given the last rites.

Similar situation for us outside Oakwell that day, couldn't get out the car if we wanted too, traffic wasn't moving and their fans (if you can call them that) were hunting around looking for QPR fans in their cars and just lashing out, to be fair there was one Barnsley fan who had a right go at his own fans for being tw@ts. A fat policeman turned up huffing and puffing and didn't know what to do to stop the aggro so he done the next best thing as he was by himself, he quickly fcked off.
I heard a couple of weeks later that two QPR female fans had their car virtually wrecked.
After putting up with all that crap the journey back to Newbury from Yorkshire with three points was a bit of a laugh for once, and we dropped mad Harry off at Banbury. |  |
