He was there when Hugill was signed but it's very hard to say what input a manager has there. The other signings during his spell were Joao Mario from Inter and Patrice Evra from the knackers yard.

He is turning into a bit of a lazy so and so if you ask me. The effort is there when we go forward, but he doesn't chase defenders down, is always just stood offside, did not bother tracking his man on Sunday. The offside goal v Reading was a case in point. Yep, BOS delayed the cross, but Hugill made no effort to get back onside and, as a result, was offside.
His finishing is mainly woeful and needs at least three good chances to score. Needs to turn things around. |  |

Erm.... Yes he does need a lot of chances but so far he has scored 8 goals in 20 games, a good few from the bench. He may well score 16+ goals this season. That's not too bad... Is it? | |

Whatever we think of him and his level of ability, if Moyes signed him he likes him.
As a new manager, he may well want to change things and have new 'tools' at his disposal.
Having Hugill available, even if he only puts him on the bench, would give him another option. | | | |

He's started 4 of those games.
All seems a bit harsh on Hugil some of the comments here, he's been good, better than Hemed and Smith from last season and like a few others has lost form in the last few weeks but am sure he will come back again. | | | |
