Team for Sunday 15:16 - Jan 3 with 2956 viewsnix

It would probably be a chance to rest a couple of players. Pretty sure Kelly will come in for Lumley. Another chance to rest Manning, so assuming we're playing four at the back Wallace again, and Kane, who haven't been overworked this season. Leistner maybe needs a break and may have a strain which leaves Grant Hall probably having to play. Could we try out Conor Masterson in a Cup game? If not Cameron could fill in at centre back.

Amos and Ball should be okay in midfield. Then Pugh, Chair, BOS with Jordan up front. So resting Eze and Nahki Wells.

I know we get annoyed about resting players for Cup games but wondering what people think about resting a couple of them? Chair looked rejuvenated after his mini break. Especially since Swansea are in a play off position and therefore likely to rest a couple of their best players.

Why is it an early kickoff on Sunday and not 3pm on Saturday?
It's not on telly as far as I can tell.

Fulham, Brentford and Chelsea also all playing at home. Doubt they want all of them playing at the same time because of police covering the games, Chelsea also playing on Sunday. Not sure why it's 2pm rather than 3pm though.

1) Swansea played on Thursday.

2) All four West London clubs are at home, so I'm fairly sure only two would be allowed to be on Saturday.

3) The FA select the day & the kick off time as the BBC will be showing the goals from all the games that are played while their studio programme is on air.

Hall was hobbling at the end of the game and Kakay is back in town. Think Masterson might have to play before we send out on loan. Don't know whether Kakay or Kane can play any other position.

On tv somewhere in the world for some reason. Because there’s high demand for this in Palau.

Is shodipo fit? I thought he'd be more involved in league games if so.

We're not going up and we're not going down so play our strongest team please. If Eze needs a rest do it in a league game.

Team for Sunday on 11:15 - Jan 4 with 1741 viewsDorse

I think it'll end up with us cobbling together a back three of Ball (R), Cameron (C) and Wallace (L) with probably Kane and Manning in the WB spots, in front of Lumley (no, really). My assumption is that neither Hall or Leistner will be risked if they're carrying a knock, Masterson will be on the bench and that Barbet is still unavailable. I also think that the management genuinely want Lumley to play his way back into form - they could have dropped him previously and stuck with him.

I think they'll avoid cup-tying Eze if they think there's a (colossal) bid on its way, so we'll most likely have Amos in the link role with Chair in the hole. BOS and Pugh in support of Hugill. This might not be a bad thing for Eze as he must be running on fumes right about now and we need him to be in good shape whether he's off or staying.

Scowen is presumably out of favour due to repeated attempts at killing players to death within his 90 seconds of play. Smith? Smith who?

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

It would nice to see Shodipo get a start, and Kakay. Maybe a chance to put Jake Frailing, Nathan Carlyle and Deshane Dalling on the bench to give them a feel for the first team? Maybe a half each for Hugill & Wells just to keep them ticking over and rest all our regular pacy players ready to avoid a pumping from Brentford & Leeds.

The grass is always greener.

Play some fringe players, not the players that never plays for the first team. I want to win and get a cup run started and, perhaps, have a bit of excitement, keep the club motivated (and the fans), earn some money from the old fashioned competition called the FA Cup.

Wrong competition to earn money from, we get more from a Sky televised game. LOL

Feel sorry for Mark Warburton as it really is a lose lose. Rest players, lose and get slated for not playing full strength, play full strength, get a player injured and moan about not resting people.

I'd like to see a decent team but rest our best players for Brentford as I would love to try and get at least a point there. I'd go for:

Kelly,
Kane, Masteron, Cameron, Wallace
Smith, Ball
Pugh, Scowen, Chair
Hugill

Who is to say that if we draw well in this competition then we will not be on TV.....plus crowd attendance money, round bonuses, etc, etc, etc. Decent money to be had for a good cup run. LOL

I don't think that's true as I'm sure we lose more on reduced gate receipts and refreshments with smaller crowds for televised league games than we gain from Sky money. Not the same for cup matches as we don't charge that much for tickets.

Just been informed Under 23 regulars Joe Gubbins and Deshane Dalling are in today's squad. Joe is a left footed centre back who has progressed season on season. Deshane is a powerful winger cum forward, highly rated by Andy Impey.
Both selections richly deserved. This is the Academy in progress.
