Not so sure on that one, can't recall another defender who so casually jogged / walked back into our half when caught up field - trademark stand-off for the cross for our 1st goal today - fairly ironic when Manning is criticized for this after Jake did it for 3 seasons and offered nothing going forward. All credit to Eustace for recognising Manning was a far better option at probably a third of the wage. | | | |

Thought he took us for the fools we were in recent years - can't blame him for his limitations (chronic lack of pace at fullback makes it difficult to play at Championship level) and the salary we offered, but imo was not a team player as always played narrow so as not to be exposed for pace, never got tight for same reason so allowed too many crosses into the box, mastered the 5 yard inside pass to nowhere and somehow never got called out for it. | | | |
