'Derby County charged by the EFL for recording financial losses in excess of the permitted amounts for the three-year period ending 30 June 2018.
The Championship club will now be referred to an independent Disciplinary Commission'

What happens now?

They can go to prison for as long as they like.

In other news....Liverpool apparently due to sign a player from Bayer Laverkusen for a paltry £107 million.

They will be given automatic promotion to the Premier League whereby they will be exempt from relegation for at least five years to help them recoup their losses and the EFL will also ensure that a constant supply of brillo pads will be sent to Pride Park for the follicle usage of their no.32. In the meantime QPR will be fined further and deducted 35 points with immediate effect. Rangers will also be given a five year transfer embargo and will not be able to renew any existing contracts of their current playing staff.

They’ll pay off the fine in Wayne Rooney signed shirts.

The EFL would go right up in my estimation if they docked them 32 points.....

The fookin' vvankers are sounding a tad worried.

Late payments of staff wages
Delay in a proposed investment
No signings in the transfer window

And one even claims that we got away with no punishment.

If found guilty they get a points deduction. Birmimgham were given 9 points last season which I still think is a lot but not many agree. If they get the same they are in the bottom 3

They will get done fuc£ all compared to our punishment you just know it. There is something rancid about Derby. Take the Keogh/ incident, he was sat in the back of one car. Why would he be in the back unless there were two people in the front? Lawrence was driving one car, Bennett the other. Just putting it out there......

Poll: Remy - can he play in the playoffs - who's opening post is the best?

Given how long it actually took Birmingham to have those points off this will almost certainly be next season. Still waiting for the Sheff Wed hearing which was announced months ago.

Maybe they will have to cut down on Taxis. Oh! Hang on. They don't have them in Derby.

Well, Lee Hoos did say about a year ago there were several clubs sailing very close to the wind and he expected there to be news of them failing and the relevant disciplinary procedures coming out.

Bit by bit, the dominos are falling...

Depends on the club’s situation surely. 9 points at the time wasn’t much of a punishment for Birmingham at all for that season. Nine for Derby now at least puts them in a real scrap.

Birmingham have breached again so possibly more points deducted for them. Problem was discussed on Radio 5 recently and the major issue is that the EFL are themselves in all sorts of problems and it is like a trade organisation trying to enforce the rules. SWFC are banged to rights but are just hanging it out with lawyers till the timing is right for them.

All they are going to do is wait until sheff wed and Derby are safe before a points fine

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I agree

However if this was, shall we say one of the “lesser” clubs you can bet your arse the sledgehammer would be out. You’d imagine they’d be looking to crucify Lootown (again) or give Wigan or us a roasting.

Poor old Bury etc are allowed to crumble and die yet for others......

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

They avoid any punishment by changing their name to Wayne Rooney's Derby County and argue in court the offenders were Frank Lampard's Derby County.

There is pressure from Championship clubs on the EFL to actually set a date to determine Sheffield Wednesday's 'punishment':as all signs are that the EFL are doing what they did last season with Brum and procrastinating as long as possible into the season to set a 'punishment' that actually makes little difference to the offending club.
