Back on the subject I will be sad to see him go. I've always thought he's pretty decent. He was amazing in his first season and I've always thought he looks more than comfortable further up the pitch. He has a reputation for being inconsistent and although he can switch off in some games he has also been the 'fall guy' for certain ways of playing. I can understand he wants first team football and who can blame him. I think, with respect to Sunderland, that he could do better than Sunderland at the moment.

Good luck Josh. When you arrived you, Freeman and Luongo created the best midfield we had in a few years. Since the other two departed you havnt reached the same heights but still gave us the goal of the season (or any season) for which we will remember for years, decades even.

His first season with us was excellent, played so well. Arguably our best player. Sadly never reached those heights after the first season. Always gave his best so good luck to him. We have plenty of cover in midfield so should not miss him too much.
AND maybe gets some money (£1 million plus £10-£12k per week) perhaps to put some sort of bid in for Wells - just an thought. | | | |

Were good to watch but if you look at it financially we got around 6 million for them and to be honest I think if you had of said that a few years ago we'd bite your hand off...
Freeman undisclosed (around 5 million and possibly an add on when / sheff utd stay in the prem)
Luongo undisclosed (around 1 million )
Scowen undisclosed (100 - 200k and maybe a promotion add on)
What would really annoy me is if we blew the lot on loan fees

Good move for everyone all around. He gets some more money, we do too, Sunderland gets a very good player at that level. He will probably get promoted with them if not now, next season, also they are a decent sized club. So, he gets an even bigger club on his CV crowds wise.
Decent player but not sure he had any sell on value than this deal. Sort of player, if he was sold to another Champ club it would be Reading or Millwall or Charlton. So, really this is the same but better when Sunderland get promoted. To those who say he was not all that, he was way better than that waste of space Cousins and we got Scowen for free. I bet the Barnsley fans are miffed he did not come back to them.
Possibly that Matty Smith will stay now and I like the look of him as he was getting better each game. Also if we sign a LB, could we see the return of Manning in DMC ? Or Hall slotting in ahead of Toni and Masterson as he did man moons ago.
