Dom Ball is becoming a bit of a cult hero for me.

He had a stormer today, especially first half. Love the way he opens up his body when he receives the ball and plays it forwards. He is so much better than I expected. Some of his touch and passing in the first half was superb. Plus he got away with two rugby tackles on Rooney when the wrong side, and taking out Stroud. Just needs a goal now.

From now on, i’ll be referring to him as Dominic Baller.

Playing very well indeed, like his attitude - he's a winner, puts in a shift, is a leader and can play a bit. Arguably our best signing this season.

I thought it was a strange signing tbh, I also understood he was a CB and pretty average at that.

Well done to MW and his Team (Again).

He certainly put in a shift. Covered a lot of ground and played it when in possession to the ball players like Eze etc. Clearly ran out of steam last 20, like Cameron - who was suffering from cramp. Was worried about some of the tackles that he was trying to fly into in that last part of the game. Took out Mr Keith Stroud extremely well, haha ! Im sure that MW will have to change-up the midfield for Saturday to give certain players a rest. Will be interesting to see the team selection.
Birmingham play this evening - so it's our turn to have the 24 hour extra rest advantage.

Absolutely this Hunter. His first touch is always progressive, trying to turn out with the ball, move it forward and be brave. He's becoming so key to how we play.

Also as Clive mentioned in the Nottingham report, and again last night, gets away with a lot of tactical fouls without picking up yellows.

Dominic Baller is good, but for me he's Sergio Ballsquets.

Nigendra:

Have to agree with you Hunter. I've been impressed with him since his first game, and over the season he's done nothing but improve, becoming more consistent and enabling link up play through central midfield that we were sorely lacking.

Likewise I love the way he look to turn and pass forward on receipt of the ball, enabling us to move the ball quickly through midfield. After having suffered through the likes of Henry and a gazillion other crabs with one leg, the contrast is startling.

He has a good engine, is strong in the tackle, and in the air and if he keeps going like this, he'll soon be the first player on the team sheet every week.

Whilst both he and Cameron lack a more cultured touch at times, they are both excellent at breaking up play and making their presence known, and its no coincidence that our improved defensive showings in recent weeks are due to them forming a good partnership and understanding.
