OK, so this is a pretty trivial subject at this time of crisis and upheaval, but I am getting to the point where my crowning glory - or to be more accurate, grizzled French crop - is going to need some serious attention. I've never cut my own hair and am nervous as hell.
What are you lot planning to do? I am considering getting some electric clippers but am such a clumsy oaf that I will probably end up slicing the curtains in half, along with my own ear.

I know what you mean, it got to the point where I basically just bought any old pair which was in stock. When I ordered mine, Argos still had stock, although they were only offering click and collect, not home delivery.
Mind you, mine are yet to arrive. They are due to be available next week, but let's see.

I'm with Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha who banned beards and hair over 2 inches long. He also banned religion.

Just tested out the new clippers on my little boy. I'd give my skills a 4.5 out of 10. Just clearing up the last of the blood now. Might have to do myself a number 2 all over to avoid any hospital visits.

missed a haircut by a day; cancelled due to lockdown.
normally a 3 at the sides and short on top, so no panic as it can grow out a bit and if necessary will let it part. Too vain to butcher myself but equally taking the opportunity to see how horrific a beard I can grow.
currently have the look of having stuck a porcupine or hedgehog on my face with missing clumps dotted sporadically all over my face. For some unknown reason my girlfriend thought it was quite sexy; which just makes me question who the fukk is she?
gonna keep at it to see it ever gains any density and looks anything like a proper beard. never gonna get to a Shoreditch & full sleeve tat standard in a million years

I've done my own hair for the last decade or so. Probably looks sh1t but saved a fortune. Buzz it with grade 8 all over, trim round the ears with scissors (carefully!)
Worth investing in a decent pair of clippers, if you can get them. You'll make your money back in the price of a couple of haircuts.

I must be fortunate. I ordered some clippers from Amazon last week and they arrived today. My hair is pretty thin all round and non-existent on top so I'm going to try for #2 all round and #0 on top. This is potentially disastrous but on the other hand probably no worse than anybody else when we emerge from all this.

What about eyebrows? Anybody had a bored go at theirs?
I tried to do mine with scissors and a comb but couldn't get the scissors turned the right way round in the mirror, nearly dislocated my shoulder.
For me, the eye brows are equally as important as the barnet. Mine rival Dennis Healy's (RIP) in his pomp. I get some really annoying, snow white hairs in my eye brows too, which is frustrating because my eye brows are the only hairy bits of my bonce which are anything other than grey (or steel, as my friend once put it).

Just ordered some clippers. really difficult to get atm, as most are sold out.. Couldn't get the ones i wanted. Bought a Braum one £50 quid in the end. need about 5 haircuts now to get my money's worth. Eyebrow trimmer included.
