Well, that was a fun read. Think I’ll just crack open a can and hide back under my duvet.

I'll read it again before commenting in depth, but on first read it doesn't come across as credible or balanced.

It mentions seven times the dangers to Rangers caused by Coronavirus without once explaining what these dangers might be and without once analysing them for veracity.

It even once boldly states that Coronavirus "can only be seen as a major setback" to Rangers and leaves that hanging out there as if it's a fact rather than an unsubstantiated supposition.

Terrible journalism.

The journalist may have attended the odd game and noticed the older er not exactly athletic look to the make up of the fans?

I know the author slightly. He's been a football writer for many years. Most of his knowledge and published work is centred on the senior non-league game where he's credible and well respected. However as a précis of our past decade or so I frankly don't see too much to argue with there. His audience isn't QPR fans, and while it's maybe unfortunate we've been selected as his example, what he says about the possible effects of Covid-19 on clubs of our size is valid.

He didn't mention that people find going to the football boring now because they can no longer stand and sing.

That's all we need to fix QPR. Let the Hooligans back in, make it fun again.

There was nothing fun about hooliganism. Although I do miss that relief, when you got away safely

Surely these days we are talking about safe hooliganism (with half-time reenactments of famous hooligan battles)?

I don't think it told us anything that knowledgeable QPR fans wouldn't already have known.
The problems are well known and the football hiatus is not helping any club.

My conclusion is that we need a prolonged period of stability to fix our own problems. Les as DOF and Hoos as Chief Exec have done a decent job over the last couple of years, correcting the excesses of PL years and, in Warburton, Paul Hall, Chris Ramsey steps are being made in the right direction.

We would also benefit if Chelsea, Fulham and Brentford started going downhill.
