Great news.

Not least for some arguments to finally cease on here!

Come on, group hug everyone.

Stay one metre apart, though, and Lblock, 50 metres’ll do you mate.

That is an interesting point. WF was going to be a Cat B academy otherwise they would have had to build dormitories etc. for Cat A status. As there is already an educational facility located nearby to the Heston site they may consider it worthwhile to build the dormitories as part of the refurbishment and go for Cat A status. That would mean it would be easier to attract players and we would get better recompense if any got nabbed by other teams.

Good point.

Abso bloody lutely without their interference we would have taken on Warren Farm, a far more costly site to develop that we would never own.

Not sure if it's all down to Karma or should we just thank that malicious Brentford fan who was part of the SWF campaign.....

One of the things which annoyed me the most about SWF's campaign was that they kept saying we were going to build a stadium. I'm not sure if they were deliberately getting that wrong, but now it's all water under the bridge, thank goodness.

Of course, we could take it in turns to go down to Warren Farm and make sure no one is walking their dogs during skylarks' breeding season, what with skylarks being ground nesting birds...

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Is it a new training ground AND academy facilities? Will it raise our grade?

Training ground in Heston. Are we now perilously close to being another bus stop in Hounslow?

Good news indeed and well worth a new thread to lay the ghost of Warren Farm to rest.

a big lens in the local travelodge upper floors and you have our training and match prep down pat.

Hope they do something about all that, while the players are choking in M4 smog.

I know, bah humbug, but do 'elite' sportsmen really need to be subjected to this, or have i got the wrong field?

is there a row going on, down near slough?

where's Concorde?

Brilliant news.

I got a voucher for my Birthday for Lock & Co in St.James London for the provision of a new hat. I was of course holding off to see if my current Baker Boy needed to be lightly fried on a bed of Bungle watercress but appears not. Once I get the confidence to head into central London again I can buy a tit'fer of my choice and for any occasion....

Wonderful that this has been confirmed.
All eyes on plans for the future and this being used and becoming part of our rebuilding of Queens Park Rangers Football Club after turmoil.

One final thing.... thanks for the message Antti... don't get too close in that group hug, those American tights snag quite easily I hear old girl

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Short term I'm sure they'll just make do but the plan is still to build a new training ground, so it'll be new build replacing what's there. Or at least that's the plan.

From maps you can see hockey pitches, cricket squares, tennis courts and loads of other spaces, the site is so big you could build a training complex on part of the site while keeping all of the pitches and the main buildings operational.

Will be interesting to see if they decide to keep any of the other facilities and perhaps lease them out to other companies/clubs to operate. Might help with cash flow.
