Ref gets first go at it, so even if AR WAS looking straight at it, if ref shouts 'No pen', immediately, as it looked like he did, AR just has to get on with it - its always the ref's call in the end.
One final, final! shout for the AR's union - his main job is to look for offside, as no one else can - if he can see other things as well then fine, but main job is offside, so could well have been looking along the line rather than at the ball. | | | |

Agreed Kakay was more ragged than in the previous two games, but fk me, you would never have thought he was the young rookie alongside two seasoned pros looking at Yoann and Geoff Chuckle last night. (And I like Barbet a lot generally.)
I know Cameron is meant to be a brilliant influence in the dressing room (etc) but his passing and control are ropey at the best of the times, and it's not been the best of times for a while. Some of his football since the restart has been proper Bob Malcolm stuff, and not just his comedy whoops-a-daisy on the edge of his own box (which Kakay had to clear up after.)
Precious few silver linings this side of the virus, but for me seeing Kakay and Shodipo (re) appear pretty impressively after each being written off has been the closest thing to one. They could both end up as regulars if they kick on from here, and solve a few problems for us in the process.
Christ we need a) a proper striker and b) a proper central midfield though. [Post edited 9 Jul 2020 17:06]

Hilarious and painful in equal measure.
This team is done as it stands, with several if not numerous departures likely this summer.
Reconstructive surgery clearly needed, but I hope to god we don’t do a swap for Eze and the two Spurs “starlets” as has been intimated here and there. Amos in particular has disappointed the most as there is clearly a decent player in there somewhere, but he is struggling badly to find it. Can only think it is psychological, but if he wants a future in the game, he needs to dig deep and find more...quickly.

I run the line regularly for my son's team that I coach, as it allows me to stray far from my technical area. The other team's coach does the same on the opposite side so it's 'fair'. Anyway, ref only allows lino to adjudicate on throw-ins, which I do enthusiastically or otherwise, depending on which way they are going. On one occasion he over-ruled me four times in quick succession. There was a stray dog lying near me, watching the game with great interest. So i stuck the flag stick into his collar and advised the ref he could do just as well as me as my input was being ignored anyway. For some reason the ref took a dim view to this, the game was almost abandoned until another volunteer was found and I had to coach the remainder of the game from behind the chain link fence instead of in front of it!  | | | |

Don't blame you, that happened to me once as well. Tried to tell me the ball was out when I was looking along the line at it. He knew I was a cat 3 ref as well, same as he was. I threw the flag on the floor and said it was pointless if he was going to overrule on that.
