Agree with most of what Warburton said, he comes across measured but angry.
I don't think application is the problem with Amos, think he's low on confidence and playing really badly.
Cameron on the other hand is our most experienced player and puts in a performance devoid of effort/basic competence. Playing lazy passes straight to Wednesday players, jogging around, weak challenges - compare that with the desire and energy of Kakay . Find it baffling and slightly troubling that Warbs goes out of his way to praise Cameron twice. |  | | |

Very honest, I thought.
Also agree with nearly everything he said. Except that he might be bigging Amos a bit. I think Amos showed for the ball more than any other player in the side today and he deserves credit for that, but he didn't always use it well. That could be confidence. It wasn't lack of effort. |  |

I suppose he has to do these interviews but I find it all to predictable, what bloody irks me is the Wigan players have only been paid some 20% of their salaries and the Sheffield Wednesday players have just been paid their outstanding wages after some were not paid in full on time in June.
Both the Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday players put in a strong performance against us under difficult personal financial circumstances.
I don't understand that, it's baffling to me how our players can repeatedly put in such abject performances? like I said on some other thread gawd help us on Tuesday night against Luton, It feels to me like there is something going on at the club, maybe maybe not, I don't know anymore.

I think this is a very good summary, Brian. Dropped very deep and showed for the ball when others weren’t, but I thought he totally killed the attackS with his negativity

I honestly think it's as simple as we thought "job done" during the break and haven't really got the motivation for it. You can blame circumstances for that, or the manager, or the players, or a combination. Probably blame to go around.
I get that it's the managers job to motivate them and "it's the players jobs to motivate themselves, but there's only so far that takes you if in the back of your head you've already checked out. Adrenaline and subconscious motivation is real - I'd back a man running away from a tiger to outsprint an equally fast man going for a run around the block on any day of the week.
Like I say blame to go around though, even with all that said what we've sat through has been abject and no amount of "circumstances" can explain that. |  | | |

So after the fans rightly criticised the team following the first couple of abysmal performances Warburton got very defensive and had a go back at the fans. Seems the penny has dropped with him now, wonder if he’ll apologise for calling the fans ignorant when it was actually him being ignorant all along. |  |

For him to say Amos and Cameron played well beggars believe! Amos is light weight , weak cant pick a pass and cant tackle. Cameron does some good stuff then gives the ball away or plays hospital balls to players. I'm getting very worried about the Amos situation something ain't right the way Warburton keeps playing him and praising him! But what do I know I'm just a ignorant fan! |  |

Thing is this new season might be kicking off in 6 weeks time. We need a large number of players if those expected to leave go. We have ZERO strikers of our own, two 'proper' centre backs, one of which is a kid and a shockingly bad centre Midfield. The spine of the team just isn't there.
Oh, and we're still facing more wage cuts for new players.
It is a mess yet again... |  |
