Loads of doom and gloom first few games after lockdown,

Deservedly so.

Indeed. Glad we turned it around somewhere and at least finished on a positive note. A win and two away draws last three games, I think we all would have taken that

I was never doom and gloom, despite players going.

a) we were not going to lose 9 games on the trot

b) even if we did we would still have stayed up.

The last three matches were a positive for sure to end the season on.

We did only win two of nine games and only scored twice in six. Not to mention losing to two sides who went down, albeit Wigan were the form team. I don't forget how depressed those performances made me at the time.

Now I can relax until it all starts again affecting my mood...

Agree completely. Today feels damn good.

It was a good game with a beauty of a goal to brings us level and close out the season.

Great to see us in the thick of the action, impacting the final outcome.

It's got that end of term feel to it, slightly melancholy, you know you won't be seeing some of these faces again, but buzzing none the less.

At one point when it was 2-2 and Brentford equalised in their match I just assumed that Brentford would score a second and that West Brom would get their “AGUEROOOOOOO” moment against us.

Sadness and relief.

Just looked at the final table and we would have probably needed 21 points, so seven wins or six wins and three draws from nine fixture. So even if playing well very unlikely on top of the six game run we were on. So relief that those losses didn't really matter.

Sadness that I may not see Eze and some of the others in an Rrrs shirt again and we were unable to give them that last home game send off.

I think most would agree that we - especially defensively - are nowhere near ready for premier league so not making the play-offs no bad thing. For me, it was the performances against Barnsley, Charlton, and Sheffield Wednesday in particular, that really disappointed/disgusted me. Anyone can lose a game, even if you totally dominate it - it's the unpredictability that makes it so appealing - but there is no excuse for not putting in an honest shift of work

Winning at home and drawing away - if we could only replicate that over the majority of a season -sigh

Not saying we were/are anywhere near ready but we might have kept our players for longer, increased their value, had another day at Wembley (albeit on the tellybox) and grabbed a large Sky wedge to rebuild with.

That would have made me very happy.
