Working from home
No summer holiday
No football
No new players
No new kit
Pulled hamstring so can't train

What's everyone doing to keep themselves occupied at the moment?

Worked right through ensuring London’s vulnerable have their groceries, flying out to Rhodes on Tuesday to spend 11 days and nights lounging by the pool, stay in a small hotel with massive pool, been in constant touch with the owners, won’t be a problem to social distance, plane is only half full so as far as I’m concerned minimal risk.

Been WFH since February, just getting used to it, wife is a teacher, daughter is back to Uni in September and son on furlough so we’re all at home together and doing well not to kill each other!
Off to Snowdonia for a week on Saturday hope to do some walking, bit of beach, castles and Port Merrion, it’s a great place for a holiday.
I’ve been recovering from a mild dose of the Covid picked up skiing in Italy and still struggle to do any exercise that over exerts me so walking in the mountains maybe a bit of any issue, I’ll just have to take it easy.

Be interested to hear how you get on, I’m heading that way in a couple of weeks time, so any tips appreciated. It’s going to be raining isn’t it?!

Had got really into my running, done 600 miles this year. Last week ankle said 'nah, not any more mate', swelled up like a balloon and felt like somebody had stuck a knife into it. Tendonitis apparently. Fck me, last time I take the pis out of Grant Hall for that.

So now it's just reading. And desperately trying to find watchable documentaries (Murdoch thing on BBC isn't bad).

But yeh, bored now. Not having the QPR blow out at the end of the week is a killer.

I'm a teacher so worked from home from mid-March until June 1st. Then went mad painting and gardening and trying to put a bit of shape on 40 acres of crap land. The weather initially was beautiful so that helped. Then the weather turned crap, kinda ran out of things to do so reading a lot of books and spending too much time on here. looking forward to getting back to work (hopefully) at the end of the month. Having a couple of days in Donegal next week but wouldn't chance going foreign this year

Nice. We should be in Disneyland for 3-weeks at the moment but obviously had to cancel that and instead we did a week in Cornwall where it rained for 5 of the 7 days. Now wishing we would have picked Greece

PLUS hoping to get some fixtures through this month!

I DO have some already at a well known local fee paying school, but they don't start until October.

Give the Iraq war documentary on the iPlayer a go too. You’ll soon forget about your ankle pain.

Oh yes, very bored. Life seems to have got smaller but busier since the lockdown started.

Just came back from a week in Edinburgh which helped with the sanity/insanity at least for a while, and have discovered one clear benefit of working from home: it's a lot easier to sneak out for an unofficial half day! Helps if your line manager is off with stress but better to discover it later than never.

My coffee consumption has gone through the roof.

Put around 1000 hours into No Man's Sky on the XBox, Began to espalier my hybrid apple tree. Planted loads of potatoes and flowers/ plants etc. Endured a seriously life changing illness and health issues. Changed cars.

The grass is always greener.

Loads of running. YouTube Yoga. I watched the Once Upon A Time In Iraq doc. Compelling. Horrifying. Half way through the second episode I remembered way back I (and millions of others) marched against this travesty during the build-up. They (you know - them people - the government I guess) were told what would happen. Knew it wouldn’t make a blind bit of difference but what can you do? Now watching the first TV drama I’ve watched for 10 years. Normal People Wonderful pace and acting. Also just made an Emoji map of next (week’s) season’s championship. Not bored but maybe a little too much time on my hands.

That's great Danny but what is the significance of the red apple? I take it is representing Bristol City, cider?

Yes mate the big apple is Bristol City - some clubs are harder to emoji than others - the colour of the apple and the West Country connection to cider was enough for me.

Met Office forecast for next week is looking fine, but as it’s mountains it can change hourly!
I’ve been know to be putting factor 30 on in the morning then head to toe waterproofs by lunchtime!
I’ll let you know how we get on, could be interesting, first family holiday with grown up children, 22 and 27 plus one of theme partner all together in a chalet for a week!

Been flat out working solely in the home office since Feb. Still mad busy now, but been playing a lot of golf (first time in nearly 3 decades) since that was allowed and lots of cricket as well since that was allowed.

Having worked my nuts off since Feb, I'm now starting to turn my attentions towards the annual 2-3 month winter trip to the southern hemisphere. With there unlikely to be England tours to India and Sri Lanka now (or at least not tours that fans can attend), I'm trying to work out where else to go (subject to us being allowed to travel and their borders being open of course). Can't be doing with a winter in the UK (it's bad enough under normal circumstances never mind current circumstances)

I have been fortunate enough to keep my job (in marketing for a cybersecurity company), I just do it from home. I'm hoping to get to the office one day next week, but the office manager doesn't seem keen for anyone to go in.

My world has sort of shrunk since the virus - the holiday in Crete had to be canned - but Mrs R from Afar and I are trying to make the most of every little positive, like the chance to get away to Exmoor for three nights at the end of July. We have also really enjoyed exploring the forest which is five minutes' from our door. All the discussions on LFW - thank you all - have kept me connected, I'd say, because I really haven't seen much of friends and family due to lockdown.

It has been easy working from home because we don't have kids and as a key worker, my wife has continued to go to her normal place of work during the virus crisis. For a bit of variety and to get some sort of a benefit from my pandemic work regime, I have been practising guitar each time I am making a hot drink (no I have not quadrupled my intake of hot drinks or been steeping the tea bag for 35 minutes, although both are tempting)
and over the months, this has enabled me to get reasonably proficient at playing "Over my head" by Kings X and "Wishing well" by Free.

Oh, and my wildlife garden has got a lot of attention. I have grown quite a few wildflowers from seed and have revamped my herb garden. Sadly, there are no green lions or tail chasing dogs in it, but never say never

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Mostly listening to music whilst surrounded by cats and training.

youtube or whatever, being able to basically watch any live performance in the last seventy years at the click of a button is amazing, like having a time machine and a teleporter.

Lemmy in my living room, deep joy
