I’m sweating my arse off. When you get down to your g string and you’re still overheating, it’s no fun for anyone.
Someone shoot that big fireball out of the sky and let’s have perpetual night. Bloody thing will implode in a few hmillion years anyway. The horrible bastards.
It’ll also get rid of these little feckers that keep bloody biting me. Christ on a bike, I must be giving blood by the thousand to these gits.
Urgh. Bugger off summer. Give me the warmth of a cold day and the heat of a warm heart.
I’m getting in a cold bath of lager.

It’s too hot. We went to Henley today - stupid decision. The only good thing was that we discovered a fish ladder on the Thames. Didn’t know such a thing existed. It’s so the non-jumpers can get up river to do their thang.

More than happy sitting out in my small bit of garden listening to music rather than watching television indoors
Sleeping can be an issue, got a portable AC unit for our loft but Christ alive it’s as noisy as Toni Leinster smashing through a china shop.
My big regret at the moment is not being able to experience central London / West End when it’s like this. Nice “sight seeing” usually. That regret is softened by not needing to get on the bastard tube
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Was doing okay. Cold baths, cold beers, minimal movement. But now I’ve got a mental image of a sweaty qprxtc in nothing but a g-string and it’s terrorising my psyche.

Remember the Blackpool game in 2003 when we won 5-0? It was over a 100F. We were sat in the 'shade' in the Ellerslie Stand. In think its the hottest I've ever been.

Not sure if I dreamt this up but I think the UKs record temperature since records began was recorded that day somewhere in West London (since broken)
My dad still took a flask of tea to the game for us to drink at HT

There is a picture somewhere of Palmer heading that goal with a huge sweat spray around his head . I am trying to build some garage doors, the wood has warped in the heat and I am going so slowly I may as well stop ... so I have

I have a memory of the on pitch temperature being recorded at 114F.
Also it was the first time I noticed a ref using common sense, when he blew for a drinks break, which are now the norm even if the sun isn't out.
I was a few stone lighter back then and was ok, today I think I would need medical attention.

I couldn't believe that Blackpool decided to play in a black kit on that of all days.
I knew we'd go up as soon as I saw new signing Gareth Ainsworth in action. Still can't understand how we didn't walk away with the league considering the attacking power we had - Ainsworth, Gallen, Furlong and Rowlands, plus the likes of Gino, Big Dan and Carlisle at the back.

As a postie, I fecking hate this weather. The amount of people who say "oh it must be lovely being out and about in this weather", before sauntering off back to their garden for a glass of something cold.

Or working on the bins. Jeez those bags were bad today on the dog walk, especially the food recycling containers.
Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

I was in the front of the lower loft that day.
Very toastie indeed.
Melting upstairs at the mo but put the empty office air-con on to 'test' the condensers.
Very nice indeed.
I sat out front at lunch reading 'Deadhouse gates' again on my fold up chair with a cup of Earl Grey and literally everything was dank and sweaty.

Yes probably 50 c in the van & the one i always used to get was similar ... " Lovely day for you today postman "
Tempting to suggest they sit in the sun/heat for 5/6 hours or better still go for a 5 hour walk in it , they would be oh so comfortable
Used to much prefer cloudy day 8 - 12 c perfect for delivery work .
