The Frankenstein QPR Footballer 17:14 - Sep 24 with 3956 viewsAntti_Heinola

Following from a thread below, let's build the Frankenstein's monster of a QPR footballer. He should have the finishing of... the handling of... the tackling of... etc. Can't answer the same name twice.

Just done this quickly, but...

The handling of: Phil Parkes
The tackling of: Paul Parker
The defensive heading of: Alan McDonald
The reading of the game of: Ray Wilkins
The passing of: Gerry Francis
The dribbling of: Stan Bowles
The dead ball ability of: Akos Buzsaky
The skill of: Adel Taraabt
The crossing of: Dave Thomas
The leadership of: Clint Hill
The passion of: Gareth Ainsworth
The strength of: Danny Shittu
The pace of: Tony Witter
The vision of: Ale Faurlin
The hold up play of: Kevin Gallen
The finishing of: John Spencer
The attacking heading of: Les Ferdinand

The perfect footballer. Might look a bit weird though.

Bare bones.

For pace you've got to have Wayne Fereday

A bit surprised that John Spencer has got in ahead of Clive Allen (or Gary Bannister come to that) for finishing.

The ability to put the ball into an empty net from the halfway line of: Michael Robinson RIP.

It's a niche skill, I admit, but I still get a warm glow from it so I'd hate it to be missed out.

Yep.
Clive Allen the best finisher I've seen for us.

Macca fortunate to get in as the best defensive header as well, but I'd certainly not begrudge him.

Macca was good but Parker was better for instance, but Dunne was the best I can remember in his short time with us. He constantly left his man and read balls into the box with a freaky ability.

For all his skills and ability his whole attitude is fairly unique in the modern game.

John Spencer went off the boil quite quickly but i loved him those first few months, would personally go with Clive Allen for the finisher, he was the best I've seen

The timed tackling of Mark Dennis and the volleying ability of Mark Falco.

Added to the coolness in penalty taking of Clive Wilson.

Bring on Smithies for Parkes whenever we concede a penalty.
Roeder for his defensive composure
Dunne - the big ugly defender we are currently missing and the perfect foil for Roeder
Gillard for his dependability
Walker for his speed
Waddock for tenacity
Wilkins for his brain
Francis for his athleticism
Thomas for wing-wizardy
Bowles - the magician
Goddard - you can't be the all time top-scorer and not lead the line
