A whole new ball game - Preview on 17:46 - Sep 25 with 2917 views | R_from_afar | Powerful stuff, trenchant yet elegiac, thank you. What a difference a week makes, football is sailing into very different waters now. Leaving the key issue - the survival of clubs - to one side, I wonder if the players feel the loss of connection with the fans as much as I (we) do with them. Surely they do. They used to be able to see the emotion on our faces, we could physically touch them (no strangling that defender please) but now they're just images on a screen. If it's weird for them, it must be weird for them. We've all got to grit our teeth and pray this passes soon.
| "Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1." |

Thirty of us to go grouse shooting at LR ....sums it up. As you say 3 points irrelevant the survival of our club now uppermost . Who knows where we will be in 3 months time.
A whole new ball game - Preview on 19:43 - Sep 25 with 2664 views | eastside_r | Brilliant and spot on as usual, I LOLed on more than one occasion, but I have something that’s bothering me here and this is a genuine query Clive. A few weeks ago, talk was all about how BOS had a dodgy agent and was being poorly advised, but now he is apparently negotiating in good faith. This has now turned the focus on to Manning and the poor behaviour / unrealistic demands of he and / or his agent. Do we actually have any evidence to back this up as it now seems to be the accepted wisdom? I’ll throw in an alternative suggestion that I have little evidence for but might become an internet ‘FACT’. Is there perhaps something else going on - like that MW does not perhaps like anyone challenging his methods and questioning his authority. Toni Leistner seemed to be an adequate player at this level but was always on Warburton’s naughty step. We have seen that TL is no shrinking violet. Perhaps young Ryan is a bit too outspoken for Mark’s liking? Wild speculation of course but we have the recent example of your interview and how he reacted to you questioning the defensive set-up. I probably need to get out more.

It's a good question and one I haven't fully got to the bottom of myself yet.

A whole new ball game - Preview on 21:50 - Sep 25 with 2412 views | Noelmc | As a sideline you should be writing scripts for Spitting Image. Some great lines lampooning the idiots running the country. In a packed preview, you also managed to fit in a lovely tribute to Neil Warnock and a great picture joke on Florist heading to Huddersfield. Terrific stuff! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I'm sure you're right, Paddy - we all know about Luton. But it was the early kick-off thing made me laugh.

Well the 'flu season' has 'hit' us every winter since time began, and we're still here! Same applies to winter!
A whole new ball game - Preview on 11:05 - Sep 26 with 1677 views | dublinr | Great stuff. Nothing like a bit of well-directed, articulate rage for breakfast on a Saturday. Agree 100% on Warnock too. Have to cling to those memories all the more now... Thanks Clive, you've earned next month's tuppence ha'penny already. You can take a breather

How do you go about deliberately winning corners, how is that different from how you would normally play a game of football???

Going to the byline rather than cutting inside.... Playing over the top rather than playing short....
