Listening to it at the moment, funny he says about how England never quite happened for him.
I remember that summer he did get called up he was called up at the same time as Vardy, who got on the pitch, and obviously went on to play in some major tournaments which Charlie never did.
That summer of 2015 I rated Charlie as a far better striker than Vardy, he'd scored more goals that season for a worse team and in my view deserved that cap.
In fariness to Vardy, he's been lucky with injuries and gone on to achieve a fantastic goal scoring record since and has those Premiership and Leicester City records, so you can't begrudge him that, but I do look at him and Charlie and think "What if?" for Charlie. He's certainly the best natural goalscorer I've ever seen in a QPR shirt. |  | | |

Just listened to podcast Charlie sounds more mature, totally motivated and he's a winner so he's sparking up the rest of the team. He understands the team dynamics required to be successful and you can see it has lifted quite a few in the squad.
He wants to get his 50th QPR goal asap (he's on 49 in just over 90 games which is a terrific ratio) | | | |

Interesting this one! Austin clearly is a better striker than anyone we have and not only is a goalscorer but brings experience, confidence and happiness back at the club. It does make me wonder if we had the opportunity to sign him next year somehow - if we would actually do so. Sounds obvious to most of us i'm sure, that "of course Warbs would want him" but I have my doubts after seeing Adomah still benched most of the time. Clearly he wasnt a Warbs signing either
If any chance of signing Austin next year from the start, I would think that with some added quality we would be feeling very confidence rather than this year where most of us probably anticipated a struggle from the off | | | |

Finney was spot on. In the previous podcast the podders said to Derry that Barton polarised opinions, or some such. I thought that was generous. No such messing about this time.
Good episode. I've never warmed to Austin as a person but I'm delighted he's back and well done to the club on the signing. |  |

Great to have him back and starting up with seemingly inspiring other players is nice to see.
Heard Nedum Onouha speak of Barton in extremely derogatory terms yet Charlie seemingly highly rates him.
Clearly we are only party to half the story and there was no doubt he seemed to want to win - a strange one with Joey as some speak of him like he was a cancer and some view him as an integral piece of the jigsaw.
The word Marmite comes to mind !!!!
Shame he has some kind issues with one of the podcasts presenters - perhaps he needs words to fire up his passionate side which clearly he has in droves.
