In all departments
Rubbish ref booked Cameron then let go an identical tackle 2mins later missed a definite handball from a corner.
Derby played it right stopped Rs playing.
Very disappointed today after the previous 2 games

All departments?

We had two shots, they had two.

We had as much of the ball as they did, there have been times when we HAVE been rubbish this season and outplayed, this wasn't one of them I didn't think.

Derby played the opposition today , they done their homework and it payed off . We have no idea how to outthink other teams and their tactics . We have changed our game plan Recently and it has worked but 2 games later , it’s been sussed out knowing there’s no back up plan .

Just need to find 20 more points from teams trying to get rid of their manager or planning their summer holidays.

The faster they get these vaccines out the better our chance of staying up.

They've got the bragging rights tonight because they've done virtually everything right on the pitch and on the touchline.
Life's a bitch supporting a below average Championship like QPR, we had no right at all to expect to beat them and I was a bit wary before KO.
You can analyze the game to your hearts content it wont make an ounce of difference, we all of us know our on field players who really are not up to it they haven't been up to it all season.
I believe we'll survive this league but It's gonna be hard, the Manager has got just over seven days to get in players who can improve our squad.
Thoroughly pissed off we've lost but I'm being honest in saying I'm not surprised.
Too many of our players didn't turn up for work today.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

I think Shrek promised the ref that he’d come round and shag his gran because he did have a soft spot for them today.

IMO . They were better than us in defence, and midfield so we could not get behind them.
Apart from Barbet magnificent overhead kick we never look like scoring.
The first 25mins we rarely had the ball. After Derby scored they just closed the game down, we had no answer.

thought the defence played alright.
from midway in the first half if our midfield had got a grip and took it to derby then it would have been a game we could and should have won, they were there for the taking.
as someone said, we had 2 shots, they had 2, and scored on the counter.
agree about the ref being poor, but then i'm biased.
not the end of the world, 6 points from 9, take that all day long.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

Very little in it they had one chance and took it we had a couple charlie and barbet but did not. The handball was a clear pen and the ref should have given it. We could not break them down they defended well but other than the goal they offered little going forward and we did not have the quality to break them down. Not sure the subs worked we do have a weak bench. Disappointing today and worrying not scored a home goal since December 1st. The 2 wins take some edge off today on to Watford fingers x for a better performance and a at least a pint.

How did Rooney go from big fat joke when we played them a couple of months ago to tactical genius on the sideline?

Maybe it's not him. Mclaren knows how to set a side up defensively.

Derby set up as we did many times under McClaren, block the space in your own half and win the second balls from crosses then play on the break. Could tell after 5 mins we were in trouble today, just didn't look right.

I thought both full backs were poor and Warburton really should have switched to 4-4-2 the last 20 mins and get Wilock and Adomah out wide, carrying on with a back 5 was beyond stupid.

Only real positive was Bettache who I thought looked decent

On commentary, they mentioned Derby had everyone back defending corners - I seem to remember us doing that under McClaren

Not slagging bettache off, but I didn't think he did much when he came on. We just got wesker with the subs, and lost our shape

That is spot on. No matter what we think of him as a manager he is a great coach. He proved that here with Redcrap. We were a far better team that year when he was here.... and he is doing the same with Derby.
It is quite remarkable that the guys as all this ability and tactics but can't manage a team

thought he kept the ball quite well when he came on and tried to get us moving through midfield would agree we got weaker with the subs again, would personally have liked to see us go 4-4-2 and either take Cameron off or put Barbet left back as the game was there for us to attack but never mind

The game was lost in midfield again. Willock didn't seem to know his role at all. And if you're playing 3 at the back the wing backs need to get high early to stretch the play which they didn't do. And you need to move the ball quickly which again we didn't do.

We started the game poorly.
McClaren set up Derby well so we were less effective and we did not control the midfield.
Half way through the first half we started to improve and were on top in the second half.

The goal we conceded was very stupid as we needed to get the ball in the box and Chair chose to play the ball around the box instead, we lost possession and ten seconds later it was a goal.

It was a definite penalty - clear handball
Referee seemed biased against us - every decision went to Derby and our players got booked for things Derby players did not even get a warning for.

We were the better of two mediocre teams. However we seem to either not be able to cross or create many opportunities in the final third.
Kane and Niko seem poor to me and am surprised they are in our team.
Niko could have made a greater effort to get back to help try and prevent the goal.

I thought Willock played well and was our most dangerous player.
Chair holds onto the ball for too long and this allows the opposition to get back and in position.

Although I think Willock and Niko in particular are easy to knock off the ball so need to become stronger.

Our squad is weak and this was shown again by our bench.
We are in a relegation battle and need quality reinforcements in the coming days.
2 wing backs and 2 central midfielders to get us out of this mess.

I thought Kane and Nico had differing games. Kane still miss hits too many crosses for a team that wants to play the way we do but he had a steady game today imho. Quite neat and times, possibly gaining a bit of confidence. Nothing earth shattering but was encouraging compared to some games recently.

Nico had a bit of a mare. Nothing worked and he was quite successfully targeted throughout the game.

I agree with most of this. We were outthought in this game but then we probably outthought the other managers in our last couple of matches. Added to that we looked a little bit less sharp today across the pitch which made a difference. I'm a bit curious as to why other teams manage to close us down so much better than we close them down. They didn't give us a second on the ball.

Totally agree that Chair needs to stop taking that extra touch. He hasn't scored from distance for a long time, so I'd rather he tried to move the ball quickly for Dykes or Charlie rather than create an opening for himself.

I agree about the ref, particularly the pen and the bookings. Two pens in a row not given. Also if you keep getting freekicks against you for trivial things it's wearing because you are constantly on the defensive.

Charlie should have got that header on target. That changes the game.

Willock actually looked stronger to me than earlier in the season. Again the ref makes a difference. At one point Willock gets fouled but ref doesn't give it then goes back and does the same to the other player who gets the foul 🤷🏽‍♀️.

As for the goal I think the only thing he could have done was take the guy out further up the pitch. I don't think he's ever catching him up. I wonder if part of the reason Kane looks better than Niko defensively is that Dickie does so much work covering on that side. I agree he's not up to scratch yet but I can understand why he thinks there's a player in there but he needs more experience at this level. Kane has had a lot more opportunities to improve and still doesn't look up to it in my view. He's played 135 matches in the Championship and only got four assists and still only looks okay defensively and loses possession far too easily. He's not improving any time soon. Niko has only played 21.

Another time we could play that Derby team with the same players if we were a bit more on song and win.
