Pigbag and hi ho queens park rangers - origins of chants 21:20 - Jan 24 with 1352 viewsnumptydumpty

Whats the background story to pigbag being played for Rangers goals and the hi ho silver lining played at the end of winning games

Anyone know why...

Was it just done once and caught on...

And anyone know any background to any qpr or player related chants...

Always wonder how certain ones catch on ...

Wasn't it Daphne's favourite song?

That explains it, Daphne wasn’t keen on me.

Pigbag I think, really took off when QPR beat Ipswich at Portman Road in the mid-90’s... midweek match. Ferdinand scored and the away end basically sung it for the whole second half.

Hi Ho is for Daphne Biggs, was her favourite song so club said after she died they would play it after every victory

Pigbag took off in the 90's, think it was Liverpool away where it really got going and used to be sung after we scored goals so when they introduced goal music a few years later that was used

Our Harold started it, I'm pretty sure.

Yep. I'm pretty sure the Bishop started it at Everton away around 91ish
