nice to see2 English clubs there
why not play final at a English stadium because of covid

Mad decision to have it in Istanbul, in a country in lockdown and taking 8000 fans there.

In the face of stiff competition, UEFA trying to claim the crown of biggest clowns in European football?

why not abandon the fcking thing because of covid.
And because the two teams competing in the final tried to further destroy competitive football.

Money talks . Two financially doped football clubs fighting it out for the trophy in Istanbul where covid cases are on the rise.
8,000 needless journeys from British fans.
At the same time UEFA are taking games away from countries in the Euros because of lack of fans in the ground.
This lot really couldn't run a p**s up in a brewery .

Might as well play the final in the UAE or Russia given the ownership of both clubs involved. No doubt it’ll be touted as an English success story but make no mistake this is the oil clubs final and I’m struggling to think of two clubs who have done more to destroy our domestic league.

Be nice to see fans of all clubs boycott watching this charade of a final.

Condemn it for what it is.

Istanbul isn't far enough.

Befitting this great occasion and in honour of the owners of these clubs, let's take it to the Petr Atoyan Stadium in Kazakhstan.

8,700 capacity, perfect. The rest of us can enjoy that it's being played in the city of Oral.

Other than being based in England, there's not that much English about them these days.

Poll: How old is everyone on here?

On a related Euro note, Man Utd have a 6-2 advantage following the home 1st leg...

Still makes me shudder.

They'll be fine, they won't have to face a Partizan crowd.

If it was held in England there would be all sorts of issues with crowds outside the stadium.

Best they leave it in Turkey but put a travel ban in place.

If Turkey is a “Red list” country when the new categories are announced, surely any fans travelling out there would face a mandatory 10 days hotel quarantine when they returned anyway?

Nearly a full house but another woeful display by Arsenal put paid to that, they were lucky to get nil.

I can't believe someone on here thinks the Scum being in any final is a good thing, I hope Citeh absolutely annihilate them.

Whenever anyone is discussing Arsenal these days I just think of this.

And it's definitely not nice to see these 2 teams in the Champions League final, especially not Chelsea.

Two weeks ago "kick them out of the champions league!"

Now "nice to see2 English clubs there"

Which is exactly why they will have another go before too long. Only withdrew after being shamed into it and now being lauded a short while later for having rich enough owners to buy their way to the final.

Play it in Qatar.

i find them, their media blitz, new stadiums and modern fans pretty indistinguishable from their owners.
Kill them!
Then do it again.

BBC reporting that UEFA are considering moving the final to Wembley, but the date clashes with the Championship play-off final so the EFL would have to consider moving the match if asked by UEFA. Presume that means reschedule the match rather than move it to another ground.

Not unless they give each Championship club (all 24) at least £1 million.
