Just comes across as one of the good guys in football. Total professional that we were lucky to have the benefit of, even it was just for a short time. Wish him nothing but the best in his future.

Never knowingly understood

Thamk you Clive.

What a man Angel is. And to pay most of his own transfer fee to Swansea! Signing him was the best thing that Steve Mc did for our club.

I've enjoyed all of the interviews but this one was a different level. He's very analytical about all the managers he's played with and obviously set out to learn what he could from each one. Enlightening what he said about McClaren. Don't want to give too many spoilers so leave you to listen to it!

He obviously rates Warbs and describes him exactly how I see him, in terms of having strong values, being more serious in public than in private and having exacting standards of the players. Interesting how he gave Angel an 'out' to not play those last few matches post lockdown. But what a message to send the younger players about commitment and valuing just being able to play the game as much as you can because it's a short career and they will miss it when they retire, as he clearly does.

Love the fact he watched all our matches this season and has analysed our strengths and weaknesses. I'd be amazed if he wasn't a manager one day or at least a Chris Ramsey kind of coach, bringing on young players. He'd be a tremendous mentor.

Also fascinating how much he rates Ebs, just like us!

What a fab, interesting, intelligent, stand up guy Angel is. You've surpassed yourself Clive.

That 5-0 defeat sums up our approach to the Premier League - there's Wayne Routledge running the show for them while our bunch of mercenaries can barely put in a tackle. Meticulous.

Was he going to re-sign as a player next season then?

Thank you! Bit of an awkward one as it’s obvs going to be very Swansea focused so tried to link it back to QPR and compare and contrast coaches, approaches as much as poss.

Personally I thought his comparisons of the managers he'd played under and his rise to the Prem from lowlier origins was really interesting, even though not totally QPR focused. He's an engaging speaker and obviously has a fondness for the club. I can't wait to welcome him back, even if only as a guest. I think he'd be genuinely bowled over by the affection and respect from the fans.

Proper player , shame he wasn’t 5 years younger
I was in W block of the ER when we beat Swansea and when the forth went in Angel was happy as Larry so I shouted to him and we both did a a big shout of “come on”
Compare him that day to that little weasel SWP who played about 10 games for Chelsea and didn’t even celebrate scoring in our biggest game of the season
Rangel didn’t care that day against Swansea and was kicking everyone and everything
Would like to see him here with our youth players as I think they could learn a thing or two about being a real footballer from him

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Ah, shame there wasn't enough to time to discuss McClaren failing the remit with his Team of Men :)

Great interview. As has been touched on above, he’s given a really good analysis of the managers he’s worked with. Intelligent, articulate, genuine and level headed. Sounds like he’s more than potential management material further down the line??

Love the way he speaks too. Perfect command of English, spoken with an undeniable Spanish accent, yet with the occasional word pronounced with an unmistakably Welsh one!

Came across really well and it’s no wonder how he’s so well loved and respected both in South Wales and West London. Good job Clive!!

Really good - I think not trying to focus on just the QPR stuff was the right move.

I was quite surprised by his explanation of that Swansea incident at LR - he described it as a very calculated move to buy time but it looked far from it. May as well take him at his word I suppose but I wonder if he's doing a bit of calming of the waters after the fact.

He did say he'd had questions asked by Swansea supporters, and he does have a strong local connection, which has probably mellowed in the last year or two since the poor circumstances he felt he left under.

That and Tomer Hemed having 'a bit of a hernia' - his whole body was a hernia the fcuking useless diva lump.
