We had on loan under Holloway? I thought it was Carl Ikeme but I think that was a different loan.

I'm just curious as the match report made me recall.

Phil Barnes was the keeper he brought in for a game at Leeds, just before he got sacked.

I reckon you're thinking of Phil Barnes who played 1 game at Leeds in 2005/06, which we lost 2-0 if I remember right. Was one of Holloway's final games in charge in his first spell, the famous "Queens Park Strangers" line.

I remember Barnes playing for Blackpool in earlier seasons, though no idea where his career went before and after that. Not sure who we grabbed him on loan off for that one game either!

Edit thanks guys.

I think Ikeme came in that 09/10 season when we had several managers before Warnock arrived

No that was a different game I think.
I was at both and many other times at Elland Road too. All the miserable defeats there tend to blend into one.
For that 5-1 game weren’t the players all a bit below par because Olly wasn’t there and the rumour was he was talking to another club. (Wasn’t the actual truth that he was just ill?)

The Phil Barnes game was 2-0. The Brian Deane game where we had gone ahead early was 6-1.

I always forget we had Paul Jones and Tim Flowers play for us too!

And that was actually 6-1 with a Brian fkin Deane hat trick...

Ainsworth actually scored first after a minute and it was all downhill after that.

ASB had played York fans that morning, think we must have set off at 7am! Suffice to say it was a very long day.

Phil Barnes Olly last game first time round apparently he was picked up at the Motorway services on way up to game. Think we had 3 or 4 other loanees play Taylor left back Lowe center back and Marcin Kus big Dan had a Stormer to keep score down

Most random keeper could be a thread on it’s own. Before Smithies it seemed we had keeper tombola.

Generoso Rossi was my favourite random keeper. Don't recall him being exactly an athlete...

The was a Baltic lad who we loaned to non league who got on our bench a couple of times.

Remember him participating in a shoot out with the fans at HT and thinking it was a bit humiliating for him.

I thought Paul Jones did a good job for us in the short time he played.

Possibly wrong spelling here but Elvis Putnins was his name, he was Latvian if I remember right.

Elvijs Putnins, I forgot about him.

I looked but cannot tell if he's playing for Lowestoft, Aylesbury or Great Yarmouth.
