Absolute legend: look at the players on most classic reggae albums from the 70s and 80s and chances are you will see Sly and Robbie were involved.

Saw this last night.

Loved Robbie and Sly's work with Grace Jones.
One of the best bassists ever.

Love the stuff they did with GJ. I once went to see her live. Assumed that S&R would be the house band. WRONG! It was a f88king backing tape. NOT impressed, left early.

This was a great gig.

Loved Sly and Robbie with Black Uhuru. Not so keen on their own stuff.

That bass. Makes you feel stoned without taking anything !!

I met him after their Jazz Cafe gig in 2018. He was pretty toasted.

No it was with Nils Petter Molvaer who's a modern jazz trumpeter who does a lot of electronic stuff. It was a mad gig because they had a producer fella with a full size mixing desk on stage doing all sorts of loops. Mesmerising.

Truly a great alongside Sly. Got me looking up what happened to Puma Jones (i fancied her rotten in my late teens) only to discover she died from breast cancer 30 years ago - wtf!
